An Okay Outing | iRacing Porsche GT3 Cup - Zandvoort

Ойындар

Join me for an intense session of iRacing at the undulating Zandvoort circuit, where I took to the track in the Porsche Cup as the #5 car. Despite a strong effort, I found myself starting in seventh position, a bit off the pace from my previous outings here.
This time around, Zandvoort presented a unique set of challenges. The track conditions were notably hotter than my last race, affecting grip and overall car behavior. Additionally, a busy holiday weekend meant my practice sessions were cut short, leaving me to rely more on instinct and experience than on thorough preparation.
🏁 How would these factors influence my race strategy?
🏁 Could I adapt to the demanding conditions and climb up the ranks despite the setbacks?
In this race, watch as I navigate through the challenges of a hotter track and limited prep time, pushing the Porsche to its limits while trying to outmaneuver seasoned competitors. The race unfolds with moments of tension, tactical overtakes, and the relentless pursuit of every possible advantage.
If you enjoy a story of resilience and adaptation on the racetrack, make sure to hit the like button, share this video, and subscribe for more racing action. Your comments and tips on how to handle less-than-ideal race prep are always appreciated.
Strap in for a thrilling ride at Zandvoort, where every corner tests the limits of man and machine!

Hey, you didn't wave when you went by?! Seriously, nice and smooth. And geeze, your g-ma talks racing? She's the boss!

I didn't want to call attention... You were getting some killer lap times in both races though. It's my aunt I was talking about, there are a few family members that I can talk racing with. My aunt has been into racing, my cousin and her husband got into F1 during the pandemic via the Netflix show but have kind of fallen off recently. My dad got us Indy tickets in 2000. So there are folks in the family I can talk about racing without boring them to tears :)

Ah, your aunt. Sorry. Still, awesome to have other family members that are into same things. It makes get togethers more interesting! Yeah, I qualified really well but had some bobbles on cold tires putting me into the clutches of Anderson, who was breathing down my neck. He slid into me at T1 while passing. I gave him room, but he still, spun me around. I know it wasn't on purpose, he's just super aggressive. I can't believe it's week 12!

@@MarlonFamiltonPretty lucky that my family gets along and it's easy to talk to all of them. Talking to other people I know this isn't always the case and I know I'm fortunate in this regard. This is one of those tracks that has the weight of the car shifting in opposite directions so quickly, it's really easy to get off balance and the hot track temps don't help. If I remember correctly it was a lot cooler last time the series went here. I'm pretty interested in rain coming to the series next season. The new seasons usually get me pretty revitalized.

@@piltdownfilms Rain. Ugh. My iRacing career is doomed. Hey, are your radar/proximity bars from Racelabs or is that something else?

@@MarlonFamilton They're from Kapps along with the twitch chat. I just like the way that it handles those things better.
