From a blog re interview with Riebe's daughter Jelena- "During the time when police were excavating the family property in hopes of finding Donna Callahan’s remains, Mark Riebe decided to take his wife and children and abruptly move, in the middle of the night, to live with family members in Illinois. Jelena remembers the last-minute move and said that they took two U-Haul’s with them for the trip. She rode with her father in a U-Haul that, to her recollection, contained 6 garbage cans with black bags in them. The children were expressly forbidden to touch or go near the cans. It is unknown, but very suspect, why Mark Riebe would take the time to transport bags of trash with him to Illinois instead of depositing them in Florida."

A psychopathic calls the father of his murdered daughter. May the victims rest peacefully.
@MrMarco855
Ай бұрын
They didn't explain that enough. Why would he call only one victim's father, and not the other families? It makes no sense unless they asked him to call the father, trying to see if he was willing to go that far. They initially would be skeptical of such a confession, they may have wanted him to go further, asked him to confess to a victim's father to convince themselves that he was telling the truth. Otherwise, why would he do it? Why not call more victim's families, why didn't they explain any of this? Why didn't they ask him to explain why he only contacted the father of one victim, why this particular father, was there a special reason to contact this father and not the parents of other victims? Some of these questions seem obvious, but they asked him none of them, didn't even mention their own curiosity regarding these things and some other things.
It never ceases to amaze me the irony of these killers fighting not to be put to death but they don't hesitate to take the lives of others.

This is all part of the interview tactic, and it can be VERY effective. Morgan has been trained in depth on how to deal with specific personality types, and how to place himself in the best position to get the answers he wants. With this type of person he is interviewing, Morgan needs to let this guy know that he isn't intimidated by him and won't be pushed into the corner allowing him to run the show. This is all part of the pre-planning on the psyche of the interviewee. Make no mistake, this is intentional and I can only imagine how different it would have gone if he had the "space" to manipulate the audience like he's always done. Morgan tried to nip that in the bud and it's actually masterful once you study interview tactics, you understand why he's positioned like such. It's an art tbh
The scary thing is that he seems nice and you wouldn’t think him a serial killer if you met him on the streets and it reinforces how you never know who you are talking to. People are scary.

He will never ever tell . And the longer he is locked up the less likely he is to tell not the other way around. He has been living inside of his own head .
Morgan sits up in his space like a Boss and is all part of the interview tactic, and it can be VERY effective.

Serial killers are always looking for a way out…like a trapped animal, this will consume his thoughts for as long as he’s in prison until the day he dies.
Even if his brother did it He was still there and didn't help her He is just as guilty
I wonder if Piers was a little unnerved by this creep. He's hard to look at. 👿
This is the second one of these I’ve watched with Piers Morgan and I love how when Piers clocks them with the truth and straight up calls them out as murderers and liars, they get mad and pissy and leave the interview. True narcissists right there.
I find it very hard to believe he was fed anything by the private investigator, and that’s because in the old interview tapes he gives up all the details in his confession. Without coercion.

Morgan did it again!! Excellent reporting 👏 👍 👌
That first account from his brother on how the woman was mercilessly strangled while begging to live in the back of a car, was something I'll never forget. How does someone get that cruel?
As part of my training I attended the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA in 1986 when I was a lieutenant. One course in our 13 weeks was Interpersonal Violence, all about serial killers, and was absolutely fascinating.
Notice how he said that lots of people admit them go back on it and get released he’s such a manipulative person he’s hoping to go on it and get released
I think he can hear just fine…he does the “I can’t hear” to give himself time to think and ultimately control the conversation. He always has the perfect excuse for miscommunicationaka lies. Plus, he looks like a poor old man. 🐍
Never cared for Piers the pompous, but I have to say I thought he did a good job with Mark the murderer and this story. The cowardly Mark couldn’t take the simple questions presented to him by Piers and ran away like the cockroach he is when he couldn’t control the interview. The lies spewing from his mouth made no sense and weren’t even imaginative. I think I saw a glimmer or three of empathy coming from Piers that seemed genuine. Good job, Piers.
