Nice review 👍. I'm on the list for the black version. If it's running +3 that's very good. COSC accuracy is -4 to +6 a day so it's basically running almost double COSC.

Wasn’t expecting the comparison to an old Breitling but I see your point. At least you could knock this one around a bit.

Very good review. Just didn’t like the reference to the Dan Henry, as some of us need a quartz sometimes. The comparison with another mechanical chrono is in order! Hopefully you can get your hands on the new, beautiful Neptune and review it for us

How is the accuracy of the watch holding up since you've got it? Also has the chrono mechanism preformed reliably? I ask as people have had mixed results with the Seagull ST19 series chronograph movements. Issues have been chrono hand not setting to 12° position, jerky movement of chrono hand, weak winding stem (click spring). Also some people with display back watches have noted dirt and fingerprint marks on movements. It's not all bad as many have positive experiences. I ask about accuracy because l recently bought an Alpha 'speedmaster' homage with the ST1903 movement, similar movement to what you've got here just that it has a small 24hr dial at the 6° position. I've only had it a month but it started out 9+ seconds per day for the first couple of weeks. This increased to 13+ seconds per day at the 3rd week. For the last week it's 17+ seconds per day. So interesting to know if yours has held steady.

Michael Williams I recently received an offer on this watch that I couldn’t pass up. So it’s on to a new home now. But I can say that for my time with it, I had no complaints. I didn’t wear it as a daily driver, so I would imagine with substantial hours in service, the movement might start to see some of the issues others have experienced. But, I wasn’t too worried about that given the cost of entry (compared to my Breitling with the Venus 175). Worst case scenario, I send it in for a service to my local watchmaker.

My experience with the Gemini was not great. My wife got me the reverse panda for my 40th and it stopped on me 3 times in the first hour. Then seemed good for a couple days and then the elapsed minutes hand stopped working. I sent it back for repair and it came back to me apparently ready to go. It was not. The Chrono hand was stuttering so I started filming it. Then the Chrono hand and running second both stopped for 3 seconds. Started up again and then completely stopped a few minutes later. It wouldn't start up again until I reset the Chrono hand. Then I started it up again and it clocked a few minutes and then stopped again. This was all with a fully wound mainspring. They offered to replace the movement but I just don't trust that ST-19 movement anymore. It would always be in the back of my mind and I'd be obsessing over it if I got another one. I'm exchanging it for a different 3 hand model with a reliable movement. They told me they have a 5% failure rate with the st-19 as opposed to 0.5% with the Seiko and miyota movements. Great looking watch otherwise and Lorier's customer service is top notch. It should be noted that I have a first generation Hydra that is fantastic. I'm a fan of the brand but not the st-19.

My theory is that he filmed at 24 or 30 FPS, moved his hands really fast, and then slowed it down in post.

Fantastic design, however, the watch is too big for your wrist size. L2L looks to be well over 50cm. For an average person this watch will be too big. A watch should fit you like a well tailored suite.
