It’s very frustrating how hard it is to get cards for F2P. Seems like every best deck anymore has multiple cards from the last month or so. And many are cards that seemed skippable at the time. Anyways great video as always Alex.

It really isn't. I only buy the pass and I got three of the new spotlight cards last month and have 4 keys saved for this season already. You just don't want to pull for every card. Pick the weeks you want to focus on.

@@batmanwins5701 I do that, I just get super unlucky with my keys and tokens are impossible to come by as free to play because I never have both credits and boosters to upgrade enough cards to get keys and tokens, also season pass gives a lot of credits and gold and boosters which helps a lot with getting new cards, but in the current state, even with it like this, I shouldn’t have to pick and choose and sacrifice getting fun cards for other more competitive ones, that sucks out a lot of the fun, like Howard the Duck, I was never gonna waste my tokens of keys on him but now that he’s series 3 I got him and he’s fun but not competitive

@@kevinopaqueary4651 when they first released token system it was much easier to obtain tokens and cards, you just couldn’t get new cards instantly, you had to wait for them to pop up in your token shop first, when they released spotlights, tokens became much rarer and now I rarely use the token

Pulled Thena on first key. Going to save remaining keys until next month.

Said it when gilgamesh got rated by everyone, people gave him a 4 star and i said he will for sure be a 2 star. The thing with gilgamesh is that he isnt big enough to make a new archetype & patriot or zoo type lists dont need 1 big card for their last turn

You can play her in a turn 2 havoc deck too with stuff like bast, angela and the 0 cost cards to play thena along side a 0 coster to buff her right away the rest is basicly just nico,hood,kitty,nebula,crawler and antman its kinda reliant on drawing either havoc or thena to play on turn 2 but it can push 2 lanes pretty highly if you manage to do so, im pretty sure there is room for improvement, but it really feels like there is some pretty good potential behind thena and an early havoc

It might be crazy but i want to do a less three drop centric surfer with Thena. Ive also been doing a Noki Dino deck with Thena and she feels really solid there

I made a deck like this, glad to know I’m not far off. Instead of dark hawk and his support cards I have grandmaster master mold baron and ronan. I’ll probably try this darkhawk idea out but I’ll bring along grandmaster for some extra pop

I built a Thena deck with Annihilus package( Anni, Sentry and Hood ) + Kitty Pakage( Kitty, Thena, Angela, Hope Summers and Elsa ) and some counters( Rogue, Cannonball, Shang-chi ) and Red Hulk as a finisher or bait. Super Strong

I'm over 2500 Collection Level and have a pretty good amount of hours in since I started playing 4 Seasons ago (this being my 5th). It is a little disheartening how little of these decks apply to me. It's an entirely different game at the level you and Cozy are playing and it feels soooper grindy trying to get where I can actually build bigboi decks. The only seeming consistent deck I've got to go to battle with is a Ironheart/Wong/W.Tiger/Odin deck. Just a moment to vent. Thanks for listening.

Anyone having issues with the free series 3 season card since the update? Howard the Duck was available as my free series 3 card to claim. I opened one collector cache and got Howard. Now it says I’ve claimed my free season pass card and to come back next season…but I’m not series 3 complete since the series drop (missing Silver Samurai and Martyr).

On one hand, I want to roll for Thena, but I only have two keys, and Phostos will come with Corvius Glave and Spiderham which I don't have. What do you guys think should I toss one key or should I just horde my keys to get three brand new cards when Phostos comes around?

She seems sort of like an auto include in Angela kitty decks. Could be useful in a mid-range bounce list? Not necessarily a 'must have' but probably an upgrade from some other card.

Werewolf is better for bounce than Thena. In bounce you want to dump your hand at specific turns not slowly putting down power.

@@ezzeki1999 well that's why I was suggesting the possibility of a mid range bounce build, perhaps bouncing sage and/or wolfs bane to get extra value from them. Idk might be worth a try.

She is a quite similar to bishop I guess you can slap her in a angela/bishop deck that bounces cards back to your hand while you buff each zone consistently

U cant in bishop bounce u need to play 2 cards exactly

I used Thena with Thanos, it's running fine but still needs some tuning.

I use her in a move deck with werewolf by night. I hit infinite with that deck. Shadow king can only take thena, WWBN, dagger OR vulture. Playing 2 cards per turn works well with the deck.

mmm... time to bring out the shadow king deck again I guess XD

So I use stature packages every season to help me get infinite and I low key think thena might be a good way to help with power haven’t built deck yet but we cooking. Maybe since you got more cards you can cook something up low the videos thanks boss

She's cool for Angela and kitty but bad for bounce. Apparently cards have to still be in play at end of turn. Which wasn't addressed specifically. Or maybe I didn't consider it.

Thena has been amazing in Angela / Kitty deck. So much so that this might be taking over this month's meta and if you don't run them, be prepared with Shang/SK against them.

Really want Thena, really don't want Grandmaster or another Modok variant. I'll make the decision over the weekend, but think id rather just shure up Arishem and Phastos

Nocturne is the new Echo. People either forget about her or lose track if she's already moved or not.

It's Angela in one lane, Thena in another and Havok in the third. 3x 2-cost each a monster of their own. I think Thena might be heading to a nerf. Probably 2/2 or 2/3; +2 each proc. Making her 2 power or above push her out of Ravonna range which could hold back on her effectiveness to play out another card alongside her.

I wonder how do they pay these new card spotlight variant artists, since nobody but the whales are getting them anyway...

I’m this vid isn’t abt Gilgermesh but what are your thoughts abt him? I feel like he’s slightly under powered, potentially having him as a 5/5 and being +2 I think could make him a much more viable card compared to right now.

Thena is pretty good. She usually gets over 10 power by herself. Feels really nice.

Thena is the new angela at least for kitty decks.

Been trying her out. She's really not bad but sometimes you screw yourself over by trying to play just two cards because you want you buff her up. Still, I like cards like this that have specific triggers that can pay off. I like her, she looks cool so im forcing myself to play her a bit more and experiment.

They have to tweak havoc a bit given how strong thena is at 2 cost

Me just thinking why Doc Oct somehow still gets played, yeah in a niche case it can win you the game but I swear every time I've seen an opponent play it they just put themselves in a worst state.

Thena is very fun to play is not a broken card but is fun

I truly had no interest in Thena until I saw this vid. Talking about how good she is in Kitty/Angela decks while I’m loving one right now made me throw two caches on her and she’s been an absolute blast. Gotten her to double digits so many times.

From this what I've noticed is 1 thena is a kitty pride crutch, 2 she definitely limited your plays at times

I'm series 4 complete and only missing several series 5 cards and those two are the only ones I'm interested in. I predicted Sage would be 1 of the best cards in game whilst others doubted. Said the same for Thena, but tbh we all knew she would be strong, so not much bragging rights there.
