10:29 this game is a great example of why some people think they don’t face bots in ladder, not even Alex realized it because of the sleeves and somewhat sensible plays.

Maybe because it isn't a bot. Bots play immediately when you press end turn. It didn't happen in that game

@@HellShoot it is a bot 💀 u can literally search up "147" in the data bank of bot names and it comes up. even the avatar and weird splits gives it away.

He also missed that Empath at 13:58 is a bot as well. Ant Man into Krakoa with base avatar and generic superhero name.

@@HellShoot That's not correct. The hard bots take their time to analyze your hand and play so they can generate the counter cards. They all will fold the second you drop turn 6 if they've lost.

There's certainly potential in this card. Some games it was a 5/15 for me while in some games it was simply a dead card. The card requires some kind of a tweak for sure. At the moment though, it's a very passable card.

Well now I feel terrible for missing Thena, but I need to save 4 keys for Corvus.

I had Gilgamesh in some decks with Patriot and Silver Surfer buffing stuff, and another with Wong, Rescue, etc.

I’ve been playing Gilgamesh in the brood/abs man/patriot/surfer deck which was popular I think when forge was first buffed. I think he fits very nicely in there and I’m surprised I’ve not seen more content creators trying that deck. Having said that I think that might be his only solid niche but I’ve had enough fun with it to justify getting the card for myself

Hi twitch, I’m really high on a thanos spectrum deck that runs cards like goose, Wong, cap, kazar and so on to play around the new ongoing effects with the stones. It’s been pretty successful for me so far, hope it takes off!

I played Cozy’s Thena zoo deck and it felt good. However, I am in low-low ladder and the card is still new and shiny. Hello Twitch!

5,1 with +2 is a change I think would be good. Would work with ravona like a lot of it's synergies, and has a max output of 23, which is a lot, but, again, the max unless you get like a Wong or some other cheese combo

I just made a deck with cards that are easy to get a buff on like Hawkeye and Medusa etc, a couple tech cards and Gilgamesh. He hits pretty good numbers

I hope we get like a 4/X On Reveal: give all of your other cards +1 power where its power can be whatever they deem balanced, with Gilgamesh's 5 cost, he feels clunky on a curve to be played beside blue marvel and you need to take advantage of a wide buffed board for him to be strong.

you know I have seen players go the Blue Marvel route, I have not seen players use Okoye in a deck with Gilgamesh, I have a deck that is working on my climb so far and in that deck I am using,, Ant Man, Nebula, Nico, Forge, Okoye, Sage, Wolfsbane, Magik (to turn off locations i don't like) Punisher, Iron Lad, Black Panther and Gilgamesh. so far it has helped me climb to the 70's (inspite there also being BOTS) but the deck feels good.

He fits pretty good in a silver surfer deck imo. The whole point of that deck is buffing up your other three costs. With an okoye, magic and nakla in the deck, you’re basically guaranteeing a FAT Gilgamesh on turn 6-7

I put him in a surfer shell with blue marvel an he was solid an most games at least a 5-12, Brood usually won a lane and the abs man combo on the brood with mocking bird made the deck feel solid, killmonger nova also being able to buff all bodies on board was nice, wouldn’t say it’s better than normal surfer but it was definitely fun an won me a lot of games, probably surprise factor Edit: obviously bot games are a factor as well

I think the card is not bad at all could use a little buff but I definitely popped off with the card.

On my pool 1 account it’s a BEAUTIFUL addition 🤣🤣

August is gonna boost not only Zoo but Gilgamesh. I think Gilgamesh is fine and will get better with time. Looking at Hawkeye and Marvel Boy in particular.

Kirkland signature line clothing goes hard

Honestly I was running a Kitty/ Angela/ Elsa deck without Blue Marvel and I was consistently getting it to 12 to 15 power depending on locations. I thought he was pretty good especially with Thena.

Black swan and saqwatch and scar is a really good combo

I feel he is built to pair with super giant. Get value from her ability plus the obvious tech. Could be in a surfer list as well, surfer on 6 Gilgamesh goes tall in a lane.

Play 5mana 9 power GilgaLose or play 0 mana 9 power Mokingord - which one is etter?

Imagine how simple a change like +2 could do for ole gilgy

Would be worth acknowledging how many bot games you encounter. Certainly further dilutes the evaluation

There's a high chance Gilga may be made from +1 for each unit with buff, it goes to +2 shudders

What's strange is sage is said to not be worth getting, now it's appearing in so many creators decks. So I never went for it at the time.

Maybe I'm high on copium, but the deck where I found the best fit for Gilgamesh was a Forge/Brood/Absorbing man Surfer deck with Odin and Wong, but I almost never end up playing Gilgamesh and focusing on the combo. The good thing is that you are going to have high power in all location, so you are not dependent on Gilgamesh

Any thoughts on new Thanos? Seems ok so far. Don’t know if the old Thanos lines are still the best though. Feel like it’ll take a lot more testing.

I haven't tried him, but I suspect either Thanos should get a slight power buff 6/11 or 6/12, or the stone should get a slight power buff to 2. Since they're all heavily focused on Thanos now.

He's scary on cloning vats just had a game where dude used cloning vats in thano and on the power stone it makes him a 5 30 since now it adds 10 instead of just making him 20.

My problem with him ( as with thena and a bunch of all new cards released ) is that they are quite niche and the devs are afraid to make them OP He has a max of 3 decks that he can be played into and none of them can carry you to infinite

Also the eternal hawk deck I call Dark Thena 😂

I don't know about mid I've been doing pretty decent with kazoo with Gilgamesh typically getting him 15-17

Honestly I don't see why it can't go back to 5 | 2, +2 per proc the highest ceiling (with everything going right) is basically the same number you get on darkhawk with the idea of meeting a lot of conditions

Hello, Twitch crowd I gotta say, it is not as good as I would expect... mostly... but when I can pull it to the limit (Magic > Wong > Blue Marvel > Gilgamesh > Odin), it is SOOO satisfying. Of course, you have to be able to fill the OTHER places with points, so thats quite a challange 😅

If you get that combo with a LOT of cards it’s satisfying. Wong/Hazmat/Luke Cage is probably still just straight up better if you want the crazy highly fragile bit big pop off play line.

I think the perfect buff to Gilgamesh would be dropping it down to like a 5/4 and having it gain +2 or just buff it to 5/9 if thats too good

I feel like Gilgamesh is probably an absurd power spike in a new player’s collection - low CL playing series 1/2, but isn’t competitive at the top end. Maybe there’s a place in the game for a card like that, but for me Glig feels really bad - they should have just released it as a series 2.

i think it gives blue Marvel decks another method of going tall. I think hes just as good as Dino or Ronan and like those are pretty mid rn too. I love Mesh tho, he's a simple evergreen design but isn't a flashy scaler like Thena

I wonder if he was to strong in the leaks as a 5/2 that got +2 for each buffed card, maybe he was broken in negative or something like that but I think if they make him a 5/8 or even a 5/9 he becomes a real solid card, I've been playing him in your GilgaHawk deck and It looks pretty good but Thena looks way more powerful. I'm just mad that every time I can get a season pass, the card is either weak or they nerf them the next season 😅

I knew it was going to be a dud when I was choosing to play Blue Marvel over Gigapetmesh on a consistent basis. I’ll take the constant 5/3 ongoing over the 5/7 On Reveal. This card is going to be buffed before the end of the season. It also is just not very fun to play, felt like a “stat stick” even though it’s a bit more interactive.

Your deck doesn't use Supergiant? I feel like she's an essential component of the package. Play her on 4, Gilgamesh on 5, then Blue Marvel plus a good 1-drop (e.g. Martyr) on 6. And you should've used your other turns to fill out the board, obviously. (I used Shanna for that at first, but it gets a bit too crowded too quickly, and the RNG would sometimes mess me up... 😅) Having said all that, I am only Rank 83 right now, so I don't know how it will perform in higher ranks.

@@mrazable7922 In the current meta, Supergiant also doubles as a tech card against Professor X (and also Sera, but she doesn’t seem very prevalent atm).

Literally just make him ongoing and a 5 8 and he's fixed. The on reveal effect makes you wanna play him last which heavily limits the play patterns. He NEEDS to be ongoing to be as competitive as something like darkhawk

@@JTygerAU it would still create different decks and a different way to play the game. We already know darkhawk is successful so why wouldn't he be an inspiration for the card. We are already seeing a rise in zoo bc of Gilgamesh. Imagine if you could zoo and drop the equivalent of a darkhawk for zoo.

Gil has to be one of the the most lackluster seaspn pass cards to date. If he had +2 power tho...

I feel like having 7 power as a base is good at least. It feels like a lot that increase power are only 3 power or something so at least there's some base power as a backup I guess

Its a disappointment because you playing it in Zoo. Build a deck around the card and I think it would perform better instead off trying to slot it into existing decks. Okoye, Nova, Taskmaster, Shuri, Grandmaster. Makes more sense to use these with it imo.

if the card is always at least a 5/11 when played then it's done its job

It's mid, but it isn't as bad as it is portrayed in this video. I had good success with my Gil Zoo deck. Nothing op, but pretty good.

If it was a 4 6 it would be better. A 2 and him on 6 would make him better

My take on him is that he is like Namora. The game has enter a power creep era so profound that the original 5/9 line is just bad now, cause every card now is expected to be way way better than that, when in reality a 5 cost card only need to have 9 power is already good. The fact that Gilgamesh highest potential is 5/18 (full board buffed and without Odin) makes people think he always need to have more than 10, 11 power to be "average", and to alway reach this potential. Just like Namora, you don't always get the most ideal power out of the card but getting half of its potential in a game is already good enough. A 5/10 with no downside is good enough. The problem is just the power creep and people's unrealistic expectation for ecery new card to be broken on first day.

Hate to say it, but EVERYONE on the Snap Chat was puzzled by both of your excitement of this card. Haven't bought the Season Pass, and though I realise the Pass is economically efficient, think I might skip it on principle of releasing such a weak Season Pass card.
