Civilization logic is having Brazil declare war for absolutely no reason at all and then I get war monger penalties from attacking them back making everyone else declare war and ending my game. Civ can anger me sometimes.

Sometimes If you are strong enough and literally move many troops to their borders the AI will accept deamends (sometimes), but if you want from them a city, recources, relics, spies, then they will not accept only demand gold! (I might be not right because i wrote this on my game expirience)

If you're strong enough compared to them it can work, but honestly at that point its just easier to conquer them. So yea, im not really sure why the mechanic is in the game other than to give the AI another reason to hate the player for some arbitrary thing.

@@arb1897 Specifically Civilization 6. Word of Warning: it's not actually all that great. It has a ton of issues. It's strategy is bare-bones. It's combat is weightless, the technology and culture systems are boring and unengaging, it's "diplomacy" system is a joke, all of the characters look like caricatures and ARE caricatures, specifically Ghandi. It's visuals are, in my eyes, quite ugly, and there is no sense of genuine progression. It's filled to the brim with micro-management, and the macro-management is awful. The player in question you see in the vid somehow managed to develop a nuclear submarine WITH nukes, meaning his playstyle was largely driven by technological progress. Which also means he likely never really engaged in the actual combat. Meaning he likely wasted hours of his time doing nothing but boring micro-management, and no real combat, as he would quickly be overpowered by more military-focused civilizations. Not to mention that games against other players are excrutiatingly slow, I'm talking about a single ONLINE campaign against multiple opponents lasting for days. The "custom" single player games are incredibly limiting and do not allow the player full freedom ( you ALWAYS have at least one AI Civilization opponent, for instance). And as for pure concept: time progresses anachronistically. You can be fighting the minister of Australia, while you yourself are Alexander, but you are in the middle of, say, the rennaissance. What is obviously intended as a "joke", simply wears off it's novelty after about 5 minutes. A more grounded approach would have worked better in my opinion, but it's up to taste. In my opinion, there are better strategy games than civ 6. But hey, I'm new to the series. Maybe I'm wrong and wasting an entire day clicking boxes and NOT engaging in combat is actually fun for some people.

In fact in these game, devs wanted Gandhi to be peaceful so they setted his agressivity variable to zero. However the game considered zero as the infinite value so he nuke asap he got a bomb. This was so fun the devs keeped it.

No it’s because when other factors reduced the aggressiveness some more it was reduced below zero which was not possible, causing an interference overflow that resulted in it becoming very high.

Close but not quite. It was in an earlier version of Civ and it was a bug. His aggression was set to a low non zero number. Making friends with any country lowers their aggression towards you. So let's say his aggro starts at 5 and it subtracts 6 aggro once friends. This would make it -1 but that's not how computer math works and it instead wraps back from the smallest number to the largest number the game has for that value and goes from there. It was a fun bug that the devs kept to some extent. I don't believe they made it work exactly in future installments though. Newer Ghadi's probably just aggro faster in reference to the bug.

@@DandyDeishu in civ 6 he doesn't actually have high aggression, but a 70% chance of having the "nuke happy" agenda, which means he likes people who make/use nukes, hates those who don't and won't hesitate to use them

I once had a map with two huge continents and one small. Across the ages, I unified through conquest my super continent and built some colonies in other islands and even the second continent. Counting me, there were like 5 civilizations in the world. It felt like a madman's glory when you press that button and launch all your arsenal, just so the Robots cross the seas by both sides and take the coast with tanks and troops right behind. It felt like playing DEFCON, but winning.

@@vpr17 It's called Mutually Assured Destruction. Never strike first, but stockpile so many nukes that if they hit you first, you respond by shooting the entire thing to destroy them. This is why he have not had a WWIII.

It was a glitch in the original game, whereby Ghandi’s nuclear option was 0, but when made to decrease went to the highest value for the rest of the game, so he responded with immediate nuclear action.

I search about Gandi's dark secret and find this, what a guy.

For context, Gandhi natural default pacifist atitudes blocks him out of declaring war himself. So this is literally the only way to unleash his nuclear loving AI he gets in the lategame. His nuclear behavior is a joke referencing how an overflow errror due to Gandhi extremly low agression in the first civiliciation made him go from 1-2/10=255/10 agression. Turning him into a nuclear menace if declare war to. In the modern games they have added this as a joke in some of his dialogues and in the way his AI works in the endgame intencionaly, because nuclear Gandhi is hilarious. IDK how many people will run into this without the context already but for those who did, I hope this was usefull.
