An Easy Double SOTA Activation

While recovering from a minor back injury, I decided to take on a couple of the gentler summits in the SOTA program.
Here are two easy summits which could be taken on by the less adventurous among you.

2:10 20m SSB
3:05 40m SSB
3:20 Call from Irish Ham Radio (EI5IMB)
5:05 1st activation complete
5:45 Arrived at Cleeve Hill
6:10 Setup
6:45 20m SSB
9:00 S2S on 40m
11:40 Conclusion (best time to activate)

Great video James… Nice to feature again and amazing to hear how loud I was compared to how I was barely hearing you… Totally agree on the time of day for activation too… Not such a big deal for SOTA as once you have 4, you can go… but for WWFF you have to be more careful about time of day to get the 44.
Great video James. Even more so, as I can relate really well to where you operated from, as I look at Clent Hills from the rear of my QTH 🙂
Great couple of summits, sounding and operating great. Great thing about our hobby is it encompasses all abilities and even sky diving 😜73 Mike

Absolutely. I generally tend to favour the larger summits but this gave me the opportunity to return to Cleeve Hill (which is a really nice summit) & also take on another smaller summit which I probably would have otherwise overlooked. An old saying about silver linings comes to mind! As you said, this hobby has something for people of all abilities.
Drive on summits should be banned! 😂 Hope your back is getting better better James.

Banning drive on summits is probably a little bit harsh! The good news is that my back is fine now. This was actually filmed about a month ago. I'm sorry to admit that it's taken me that long to get round to editing it because I'm not as quick or efficient as @M0RSF when it comes to releasing videos!!!
