An apartment in Athens, Greece for 18,000 Euro
I travelled to one of the central neighbourhoods of the Greek capital, Petralona, to meet my colleague Mariana from Israel. Mariana is an investor and a real estate professional who helps her clients invest in real estate in Greece. And the first thing I asked her was why she chose Athens for investing in property. After our conversation, Mariana showed me her latest investment - a small apartment in the same area of Petralona.

Yes, that and AirBnB. Also, governments should stop this from happening. Both, selling to foreign investors without some controls and limitations and also limiting locals with AirBnB. The problem is that this is happening all over the world in places where people want to live and visit. I had to move out of San Francisco because it got too expensive for the same reasons. Now I am in Prague and it is happening here too. Governments need to protect the local poor and middle class.

Thanks, Christopher. I love Athens too.
I would not tell anyone which country I want to live in. I have found two or three nice countries but I jealously guard what I know.
"Even if you're working you feel like you're in a holiday"! Nope. That's just not true. Not if you're an ordinary person living an ordinary life.
Great video as always , Sander. I think it is better to use subtitles instead of dubbing.

Thanks for watching and commenting. Good point. What about expert interviews where there's a lot of special information and details? Would it be convenient to read it in the captions?

@@sanderrecommends Dubbing is better.
There is kato petralona and ano ptralona, a historic neighbourhood with families living theire for generations. Angry to see it the target of greed and no longer affordable for greeks. They don't all need drastic renovation that lasts months and inconveniences the building and surrounds quality of life and peace, turn it into sn airbnb who haven't a clue how to live in buildings you can hear everything. Building rules exist for a reason. They need yo be respected as well as the neighbours. 6:56
