Traitor how? We aren't at war with Russia and we shouldn't be helping Ukraine. Ukraine has been attacking that area, killing civilians, since 2014 and they requested to be annexed by Russia in 2014 (which Russia denied). It wasn't until Russia's war with Ukraine that Russia finally annexed the area after they voted to be annexed. He didn't give away any secrets that we know of, so I don't see how he is a traitor. He should be in jail for his other crimes, but if you are going to accuse a veteran of being a traitor, bring your receipts. Simply joining another country's military after being discharged from your home country's military doesn't make you a traitor. In fact, we have lots of people who did that and joined Ukraine, are you saying they are traitors too?

Nah, the language barrier gives you a false sense of reality. They are Christians in the name only, very few red the Bible, nobody has any idea about the Orthodox principles/the Trinity. And sadly they don't adhere to Christian values in day to day life that shows. And that's by the European standarts, if we are talking about the American Protestants that go to the church each Sunday then Russia is an atheistic country

To be fair both sides and no less in a major conflict and regarding to the context of this one both sides have recruited people that aren't always of the best nature or character. The reasons are mix sometimes you get those who make mistakes and want another chance in life, some for the sake of going, some because they believe in the cause etc. The French Foreign Legion is well known for recruiting those of criminal backgrounds for example few make a fuse about that anymore. Let's be honest most of reason why people hate this guy is less to do with what lead up to him possibly being the reason why he join the Russians it's mostly because he join the Russians. For if he join the Ukrainians none of them would be honest with themselves and react the same way towards him and we all know it.
