An Almost DNF NO MORE!! (

Фильм және анимация

This was my second attempt for this geocache but this time I was much more prepared. It's a good thing that I didn't go any further the first time. I probably would have ended up with a sprained ankle. It was a very nice October day and almost spring like. This is a natural goecaching container unlike any other I have seen.
I also made a reference to relocating turtles. One should never really do this. I will never do this again. I have done some research for this video and found that it is never a good idea to relocate a turtle. It can cause undo stress on them and they may end up injured or killed trying to make their way back to where you took them from.

This is my favorite park. I have been going there since I was a kid. It was a beautiful day for October. But now spring is around the corner for us so looking forward to more green. Thank you for watching!

It was a really nice day. Yeah, I like winter caching, but it's time for some warmer weather.

It was a fantastic hike and a great day for it. The container is really cool and should last a long time. Five years next old week and counting. 🐢

Good to be back. Hope to keep it going. Haven't been out caching in over 41 days but do have some video backlog to get out. Just need to make some time.

It was a beautiful day! My kind of day: not too hot but not too cold. It was just right. It was a tough one for sure, both the hike and the find. I wanted to record more of the hunt but my battery was running low. I was determined to find it. I almost had to give up because we were going out to dinner and I had to be back by a certain time.

Not sure if I went in the right way based on the description, but it was a fun adventure and I got to see a part of the park I haven't been to in a long time. Have fun going for it.

Like your hiking stick. What are the badges on it?

Thanks! I keep thinking about making a quick video on it. I made it when I was involved in scouts with my sons. There are four badges. Three are from Scouting: The Scouting World Crest, Cub Scout Emblem, and our local council camp reservation Camp Horseshoe. The other one is for the National Park Service here in the US.

I have seen badges on hiking sticks in Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein where people are keen walkers long before the modern hiking poles.

@@GeoRick I want to get a couple more that I'm missing. I have seen them at other places I have visited. But I don't like to get them unless I have actually hiked some part of that trail.
