Written by Amy Lee & Michael Wandmacher (who also composed the film score).
Orchestrated by Susie Benchasil Seiter.
Voice From The Stone is directed by Eric D. Howell and starring Emilia Clarke.
A haunting thriller set at an isolated castle in 1950s Tuscany, Voice From the Stone tells the story of Verena, a determined young nurse hired to help the mute young heir within. But the more she observes the boy, the more Verena becomes convinced he has fallen under the spell of a powerful and otherworldly persona trapped in the villa’s stone walls, one that seems to be rapidly entwining with her own.
In theaters on April 28th in: Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Phoenix, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Seattle and Washington DC. Stay tuned for specific theater information. Video On Demand or Digital HD everywhere in U.S. starting on April 28th!

My first waking words. "You are a healer, you must come touch me" over and over till nurse gives the little praying custodian who is dust mopping the floors the nod that she can approach approach me. What followed left me muttering to myself. What the heck was that? Did that really just happen? Keep you minds open to any and all possibilities. "Speak to me"

My son was murdered 12-10-17. His birthday is on June 18th. He loved Amy Lee. He introduced me to Evanescence. I loved their music right away. I miss my son horribly. 💔 💔 💔. I'm older now and six years ago I finally found my soulmate. On 4-22-23 a drunk driver hit us head on. My fiancee put my side of the car in the ditch. I watched him die. I was badly injured. Life flight took me to the hospital. Six surgeries later. The illegal that hit us has not been found. I've had enough. Sometimes I wish I wasn't here.

One of the reasons I love Amy so much is because she is a full artist. She has such a beautiful voice, writes amazing lyrics, proved that she can do amazing things without sticking to just one music genre, doesn't exactly play the easiest instruments and hell the woman even paints and designs her stage and music video clothes. And with this song in particular she proved what she can do without being chained to a record label.

This song touches my soul. I understand that this was written for a movie where the mother passes but, the wonderful thing about music is that songs can change meaning when listened to it by different people. For me this hits a chord as I have a child who has Autism and has been non verbal. I have worked with therapists and put some much time, love, tears, hope into helping him find himself. This song feels for me like it could be written about a battle such as one I'm going through. I cried when I heard this it's beautiful and gives me an outlet to listen to in times when I feel we are on an uphill battle with no ending in sight. Thanks Amy for writing something just so overwhelmingly perfect.

Second only to Take Cover, a song that allowed me to rage and heal from some of the cruelest most toxic people I knew at the time, I will have zero issue taking a fist to the faces of those that are so offended Amy isn’t making Fallen 2.0 that they are gonna mock one of the most heartbreaking things she’s made. Her voice contains so much pain, desire and hope... it tears my heart apart because it awakes my own pain, desires and hope - and in the same moment it's comforting me, giving me relief, a time of surrender for the duration of that song, like a glimpse of a life without harm and pain. She always wanted to dress it formally for holidays and gatherings but we didn't have the money as I grew up. Now I have it and I keep it dressed with her China and crystal and beautiful flower centerpieces. I know she can see it from heaven. Everytime I change the look of it. I speak to her and tell her it's for her. It's one of my strongest connections to her.

MorbidBabex Omg, same. I'm about 12 weeks myself, and have been listening to Evanescence since I was 14. Her lyrics got me through the hard times of transitioning in life, at first from child to adult, and now, from woman to mother. :D

Amy Lee will forever be better than any other singer in this day and age...she sings with such grace and sings about things that heal and focuses on matters of the heart in such an earnest and haunting way... that's why I will never consider any modern pop artist a musician because they all fail to do this. part of me is glad that she is not in the spotlight.. she's like a secret you have to search hard for in order to find.

Amy Lee said in her BUILD series interview: "Eric Howell the director thought of me on his own. Which is so cool when that happens. And tracked me down and talked to me about maybe writing the song for his film."Here are my thoughts on this:First thing is first, Eric Howell made such an incredible choice to ask Amy to write the song for his film. I believe he knew exactly what he was doing when he thought of Amy and tracked her down to write the song for his film. She has the ability to write and sing songs that are mesmerizing, haunting, beautiful, angelic, and breathtaking. He knows what real talent is, and he knows Amy has it. Most know her as the vocalist of Evanescence, but she's so much more than that. She has the ability to do what she chooses to do with or without Evanescence. This song "Speak To Me" reaches beyond that. It proves it. I love the band Evanescence, and love Amy for what she represents and does inside or outside of Evanescence. This song is absolutely BREATHTAKING. Her voice, her mood, her tone, her haunting yet beautiful vocals prove she truly is one of the most talented people in the music industry today, just as she was back in the early 2000's. Secondly, Amy has the ability to create a masterpiece. The way she sings this song, the way she sings the lyrics, the dresses she wears in this video, the style she created, the haunting background melodies she did when she sang "I feel you rushing all through me, in these walls I still hear your heartbeat" were incredible. Who else can actually do such haunting/beautiful melodies just like Amy? The range she has when she sings "We are, one breath apart, and I'll be holding it in, till we're together" and "Hear me, call your name, and just speak" are beautifully done. (Well anything she sings is always beautifully done) This song she wrote speaks volumes on the true meaning behind the film "Voice From The Stone" and that alone is a talent. It gets you emotional, her voice gets you emotional, and so does the video. Thirdly, am I the only one who gets chills at the last part when she sings "Hear me, call your name, just believe, and speak" because of the way she sings it, the way she plays the piano, and the way it sounds all together, gives me chills every time. I believe in my opinion, that when she does that, it's just so incredibly powerful. This song and video and Amy all deserve awards. This is one of the most incredible, haunting, beautiful, emotional, and amazing things to ever see and hear. The way it impacts you right when you see her in the water, in black and white, singing "Be still, my love, I will, return to you" is such an incredible start to one of the most beautiful songs and videos ever to be made. Sorry for the long post! I just had to get my thoughts out, and some might agree, some might disagree. I just know that Amy did an amazing job and she deserves to be credited for it. She has talent, she writes and sings with just enough emotion to captivate you. I'll always be a fan of her, and Evanescence. No matter what the future brings. (I'm talking about five years from now) I'll always support what she does! Amy, you're amazing. Thank you for this song, your voice, and this video. (And thank you to those who helped create and shoot the video too)
