I remember seeing the first concept art and commercials for the Amtrak Acela Express like 5 or 7 years ago. I'm amazed at the design.

I have a Backmann set too, they're fun to mess around with, but the track connectors sometimes fall off if you pull them too hard

Hey I got this same train set but for some reason the rear locomotive lights stopped all the sudden. So I think it's the decoder. Can some one help me by telling me what dcc decoder is in the Acela Express train and it's HO scale made by bachmann.

nice, i also have this train but all the couplings on the coaches (except 1) broke so now i can only have a 1 car train. (3 total including the locomotives)

Greetings Crafty Foxe. My only problem with Bachmann, is why they couldn't add sound. They did it with the Semiens Charger and the ACS-64, by adding sound. Doesn't make any sense. Great video.

You have to see Italian trains if you enjoyed japanese ones

You should consider Bachman Thomas train set and Bachman Percy and maybe Bachman James . They are expensive but worth it

Why did it come packaged in a Hornby cardboard box?

Maybe the reason for extra drawbars is because thre is an add on set of coaches so you can connect them

An Acela is made to only be coupled to another Acela if needed to move more passengers with the same amount of train crew or if one has a issue with it

If you think about it the screeching could make it more realistic because when a high speed train like the Acela is about to pass you, you can hear hissing on the tracks

Bachmann now sells individual passenger cars for the Acela Express, though only the Business Class Car, and Business Class Quiet Car, meaning to make the realistic formation of coaches you have to buy the train set. But it's better than nothing.

It's a very nice train but I try to stay away from Bachman because the quality isn't very good, though the cheap price is very tempting, I think I'd rather spend a little more money for Athearn or Kato models.

Let me point this out DCC it like it allows you to use two trains or more. Yes I do have that DCC but I kind disagree with the tracks because they are unreliable. Yes I have it but makes too much sparks because I had tried to clean it and yes it was pain in butt.

Jeez My HO Acela is OOOLD. Mine doesn't have the Blue looking LEDs it has the Incandescent looking lights but then again I have had mine when it first came out

I am genuinely wondering why you didn't get the newest version of the set which has 2037, 3209, 3319, 3410, and 2006 instead of this older version which was made before 2014. Also the new set has 3 extra cars, those being 3516, 3528, and 3538

N scale seems to be the better choice if you want to do cityscapes. I was born and raised in the city so I rather do cities than countryside stuff like the majority of the hobbyist community.

only issue can be radius use, some locos need 22" and most bachmann is 18", but you can get bachmann in the larger radius
