Amtrak 78 breakes down in Williamsburg VA

Amtrak 66 northeast regional train 78 P42DC leading broke down once it arrived at the station in Williamsburg from Newport News. Only 12 minutes away. I was not expecting any of this to happen. But I could not film the whole thing happening. I had a doctors appointment. See part 2 from the link below or look up

Amtrak 66 broke down at the Williamsburg station. Amtrak 95 coupled up and shoved the broken down Amtrak 66 into track 2 at CP Toppings.

I worked for Amtrak from October 1995-November 2002 I was an Onboard Service Attendant. Started working on AutoTrain then out of Washington DC One of the trains to Williamsburg Was names Night Owl (It even had a Viewliner sleeper) and the Other was the Colonial Both was rebranded I to the Northeast Regional name. I had the same thing happen like in this video. Pulled out of Union Station WASHINGTON DC and broke down sat for 4 hours

Robert, I believe the Night Owl was renamed as the Twilight Shoreliner when it was extended down to Newport News in about 1997ish? I remember they had some cars that had special decals for dedicated Twilight Shoreliner service.
