Haven’t been seeing your videos for a while just catching up. Skoda, Fiat and Land Rover still running smooth with their 5w30 Euro, 5w40 Euro and 10w40 Premium Protection respectively as well as manual GB and Diff oil with a combined milage of 7k miles. Still silky smooth and beautiful. 👍

Yeah it's a great to finally see the results and know for certain I had a feeling it was going to be great The unfortunate thing is for certain transmissions they have such a small filter once that filter gets full it just doesn't shift that quick anymore and it's amazing now how much quicker this car is shifting it's just amazing also when it idles it actually idles smoother and it must be something with the back pressure with the transmission pump going through the filter or something like that but it's a totally different car and the unfortunate part is too that car has very short gearing so it's always shifting and it also gets driven in traffic here in Las Vegas and it has very short trips and it never warms up correctly so that 25,000 mi is like 68,000 mi highway driving in a normal climate not like a hot Las Vegas.

Just did this week my ATF Amsoil on a Dodge 1500 Rebel so far so good in 20 thousand miles going to flush again and add more of that liquid cherry!😜✌️🙏🔥👍❤️😍

I've noticed my Ram 3500 with the 68RFE transmission today took a while to shift. It was -35C this morning, I'll be putting in Amsoil this week. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hello young men, just to confirm your cold test (Amsoil vs OEM). I have an old 2010 Dodge Dakota the 4 speed 42RLE. the first years when I was using the MOPAR ATF +4, every time the Winter weather would be minus 19 Degree Celsius ( minus 2 F or below) I would have to wait at least 15 minutes of engine idling before being able to shift my steering shifter column (would not budge). Once I switch the OEM ATF to AMSOIL (red Cap), it does it only below - 22 deg Celsius ( - 8 F or below). That doesn't seem much, but most of the days during our severe cold weeks the weather always hangs around -20/-21C. I do not always want to wait +15 minutes at - 20...Put in Drive and slowly drive away...truck runs on 5w20 Signature, AMsoil 75w110 for the diff also.

Amsoil has made me a believer this year!! I should of started sooner years ago instead of sticking will Mobil 1 for my beater vehicle. Thought it was better than using conventional oil. I hear all the naysayers talk smack about how expensive Amsoil is and how it’s not worth it. For me and my beater vehicle, it’s helped my engine run stronger despite the oil burning issues with the 2az-fe engine with the badly designed piston heads.

Doesn't surprise me much, those are among the finest Lexus ever made. This is the only generation GS with swoopy lines and these beautiful styling cues from a Jaguar XF from the side. Excellent engines and transmissions, excellent rustproofing, they are really well built. Even the leather surfaces hold up so nicely! I was surprised with mine still looking brand new after 15 years. With the Toyota ATF, they will already last as long as possible, as per people's experience when using it all day long. The Amsoil fluid could improve shift quality by a good margin however.

Amzoil makes great products

Most synthetic ATF has Dexron VI viscosity, while most Japanese automatic transmissions are made for higher Dexron III viscosity. This can even be an issue with synthetic ATF that has the correct Japanese ATF additives. With Dexron VI viscosity synthetic ATF, many Japanese automatic transmissions can be noisy with pump whine. One brand of synthetic ATF that has the Japanese transmission correct Dexron III viscosity is Valvoline Import Multi-Vehicle ATF. Valvoline MaxLife ATF has the correct Japanese additives, but has the lower Dexron VI viscosity. Toyota uses non-synthetic ATF made by Exxon / Mobile. Nissan uses a synthetic blend ATF. Both have Dexron III viscosity, not Dexron VI viscosity. For a noisy, pump whine Japanese transmission, a change in fluid might quiet it down, if somebody used the wrong viscosity ATF in it.

Yes if it was my car I would do a triple. I would start off with a pandrop change the filter and fill it with Amsoil signature ATF then what I would do is come back in a few hundred miles and do another drain and fill and then go drive around the block put maybe 5 miles on it and then do another drain and fill and that way you'd have about 90% Amsoil. That's basically what I did with my SL550 the AKA the synthetic oil protection machine 😉

@@Syntheticoilprotection Exactly 3 drop and fills is the best way to do a atf fluid change. Especially on a old car. That couple of hundred miles with the first couple of qts of amsoil give it time to clean the trans out and you will get more crap out on the second drop and fill then just doing them all in one day.

Its okay to use on turbo charged engines . Only thing is very rarely if you have a huge huge amount of carbon a huge chunk can break off and smack into the turbo turbine damaging it but that is very very rare. The mass air flow sensor is almost always in front of the throttle body. So first the air box where the filter is then mass air flow sensor then to throttle body. Just remove the hose to the throttle body and run the car while spraying it in there. You can also bend the straw and put the hose on with the straw in between the hose and spray while running. Just make sure you do not get this stuff on the mass air flow sensor or you will ruin it.

I got some on a mass air flow sensor and it threw a check engine light then I came back and cleaned it with the mass air flow cleaner spray and the car ran great.

Just depends on the lubricant could be clutch material also carbon deposits also there's phase changes with additive packages like dispersants antiware attitudes and cold flow attitudes as they oxidize they change color so there's many components that change the way lubricant's look. I like the Wix filter the best if you can get one. If they don't have that one you can go with any OEM equivalent That's what I had to do because they didn't have the Wix filter. I did have the Wix filter though for my transmission on the synthetic oil protection machine AKA my SL550. Wix is always my first go-to when it goes to transmission filters 💯

Eban, question for you. I use Amsoil automatic transmission fluid in my '08 kia spectra. Now at 215,000 miles. Last pan drop about 20,000 miles ago. No leaks, shifts smoothly!! I know a "pressure flush" is not recommended or good for the clutch packs........but, could a transmission "fluid exchange" be safely done so as to obtain 90 plus percent amsoil transmission fluid in my transmission?? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated. 👍😊👍

That's a great question honestly I don't know about that model I would personally just keep draining and filling it until I was happy with the look of the fluid that's what I would personally do and you'll see that's what I do on most of my videos however you could consult a transmission expert and there may be a way to take off the return line and exchange all the fluid in one shot on your specific model😉 Are you and Amsoil preferred customer?

So I have a 10r80 transmission that uses mercon ULV and amsoil says it is compatible with it but has a thicker viscosity. Can this have a negative impact on a ULV transmission?

Did you end up using Amsoil? I'd try emailing or calling Amsoil. I'm also worried about Amsoil having a different viscosity. I already did a 2x drain and fill on my Lexus GS350 and it seems find after driving for about 7k miles. I will be doing a third drain and fill with a filter change this time at around 61k miles. Hopefully I don't see any problems.

I think we have a couple of those on the channel you'll see them on the playlist transmission fluid changes here on the channel I think we did a Jaguar we also did a range Rover and I think we also did a BMW 328i I think those are all very similar it's some of them the biggest difference is the trans filter is just built into the pan but that's really it it's just a pan drop you drop the pan you fill it from underneath and then you just get it up the operating temperature and then measure the level and that's pretty much it it's almost the same as this transmission.

I had a issue with my transmission when I changed the fluid using cheap dex 3 fluid from pepboys in less then 300 miles the cheap fluid burned up and damaged the trans. I flushed with mobil 1 syn and the car stopped moving after a day. After doing 3 drop and fills with the amsoils atf the trans started to move and ran ok for a year except for clunking into second and slowly losing reverse. Had the trans rebuilt shop refused to use amsoil and put motul synthetic in saying it was the best lol. Well in 1 year 15k miles the motul atf already started to burn up. Put amsoil signature in and changed a pnp switch and the car is running great. Should have switched the amsoil in as soon as i got the rebuild done myself.

I found it really crazy that amsoil brought the car back to life after all that but even after they flushed my neighbor had 2 gallons of the sig seires atf and said try and see if it will help and it worked. Clunked hard into second and reverse was weak. I drove that car around hard for a year until the reverse gave out pretty much. The car is not stock though and the tune and 20t turbo put alot of strain on the transmission. Will always stick with the amsoil atf now . Surprised that the motul ester syn started to smell burned only after 15k miles since its supposed to be similar to amsoil. Plus I have a dedicated transmission cooler to.

I drive a 2018 Lexus ES 3.5 6 speed transmission, the dealer told me not to put anything but Toyota WS as other brands won't have the same viscosity (don't know what that means). I just want to find out any expert advice if I use amsoil will that damage my transmission? Please any help is appreciated. Thanks

@@Syntheticoilprotection thank you so much… last question the old WS fluid in my transmission I will do the drop pan change just like you did it on the GS will the amsoil be ok if it gets mixed with old WS? And second change I will make sure the whole tranny is amsoil. Please advice

Never heard of that what is that who makes it where is it from?

That damn transmission fluid is hard to come by I need my fluid changed and that is what is in my car from the last time I had it changed

How many miles is the suitable interval of this ATF?

That's a great question Joel I would say on a car like this the severe service is comfortably good for about 30 to 50,000 It's just the unfortunate thing is you're limited by the filter so the filter is going to get full of a lot of metallic and clutch material once that filter gets full the shifts get slower and it's just not good to have a transmission shifting slow That's why I recommend changing it really early like we did in the video before the shifts get really bad The shifts were still good on the vehicle they just weren't what they should be and that's why we did it at that 25,000 mi mark. There's a lot of variables if you have a vehicle that has a bigger filter you could potentially go quite a bit longer It's more of a trial and error thing and also feeling your vehicle If the shifts feel slow it's definitely time to change the fluid in the filter If the shifts are just great and your fluid is fine just keep driving it there's a big difference between highway driving and city driving The car got driven a lot in the city and that really had a lot of clutch pack material going to that filter because the gearing is so low The car is always shifting all the time.

It uses Toyota ATF WS as drain and fill only but I haven't seen any formal service recommendation for this vehicle. What's you experience about this one? Thanks

Great question Joel I haven't had the chance to work on one of those however I do know most Hondas and some of the other Japanese vehicles Are all a basic drain and fill

Apparently they were still using whale oil in transmissions in 1972.Best option tell Amsoil replaced, thankfully.

Some Transmissions do not have a filter just depends on the transmission some have a magnet and filter you can clean others are just the basic drain and fill and you clean the magnet some you just drain and fill and have no magnet at all LOL

Ams oil is no joke I do agree! But I don’t agree once year oil changes I’m a stickler of milage interval services 7500 miles is a good base line this way you can rotate tires and get your car in the shop at least to have other components inspected often!! You really shouldn’t go 15k miles a year in between services it’s just a bit to long to not have your car over looked at other vital components systems like brakes and hoses lines etc!!!

You can do those things. You can still do 25000 miles. The oil hasn’t changed, normally. Thats when you do oil analysis.

If you're doing the shorter intervals you can always use the Amsoil OE or the Amsoil XL those are designed for the shorter intervals and they are still a great motor oil.

six cylinder jeep life Bruno.........Since the AMSOIL was put on the market(1972) the first containers have written on them "25,00 miles or one year" service life. The "Signature Series" currently still have the the "up to 25,000 mile/one year protection" written on the containers. So in nearly 60 years, the AMSOIL Company is still in business. That speaks a lot about the products! If one is concerned, then do what Eben suggests; Do an "Oil Analysis", which will calm your nerves! However, having said that, we ALL have a CHOICE, so to each his own.
