@@sausage4049 Not going to pay a guy 200 bucks a month to write the word on a piece of paper. There's a modafinil prodrug called adrafinil, however, which is legal. 30 doses of that is about 30 dollars.

As a diagnosed narcolepsy patient I must say that the desciption is lacking a bit.. a lot actually.. which in the eyes of us patients are caused by the medical world focus on the sleep part of the disease. Thus they're only looking for ways to cure that part of the problem. Narcolepsy is (unfortunately) so much more than just falling asleep in all kinds of situations. Also for most of us amphetamine doesb't do jack... but still Im happy that it gets some attention. thank you..

Try Xyrem (ghb) before going to sleep at night,if dexamphetamine is not as strong enough,or amphetamine mixed salts such Adderall, or Ritalin/ritalin la,/Concerta,,then maybe Desoxyn 5 mg tbl IR last resort...Good luck Don t stop fighting for it if You really need it.

Interesting stuff I’ve been doing a lot of research into psychoactive compounds and psychedelics and what not, I think the chemistry is fascinating but I’m not the best with that I’m better with the psychological aspect of them and how the research has shown with a lot of these things to help with a bunch of conditions great to have someone like you to talk on the chemistry though I’m no good at explaining chemistry in a decent way I just make it sound completely foreign

Some people try street speed (Amphetamine, Ethylamphetamine produced by Phenyl-2-Propanone reductive amination with an ethanol water solution of ethylamine using non-toxic aluminum galinstan amalgam) to study and for a moderate confidence boost and energy boost. The dose range of Amphetamine and Ethylamphetamine is 5mg to 60mg. You measure it in a scale, and then dissolve it in a beverage and chug it. Methamphetamine is worse, since it's neurotoxic. There's also Methiopropamine (MPA), Prolintane, Modafinil, Armodafinil, Flodafinil, Hydrafinil, NSI-189, 9-Me-BC, Bromantane, Afobazole, Etizolam, 2-methyl-2-butanol, 4F-MPH, Phenylpiracetam Hydrazide, a-PVP, a-PHP, Propylhexedrine, Cyclopentamine, Dimethylamylamine, PPAP (PhenylPropylAminoPentane), Selegiline, 3-Fluoroamphetamine, Sunosi, Wakix, N-Acetyl-Selank, and Arecoline Hydrobromide. Amphetamine, Ethylamphetamine, Methiopropamine (MPA), Flodafinil, Hydrafinil, Modafinil, and Armodafinil are cleaner than caffeine.

My favourite pharmacopoeia, a 1952 Martindale, lists a much larger range of clinical indications than are currently accepted. BTW, some of the doses prescribed for ADHD are higher than those administered by dilute illegal powders (excepting pure ice or crystal methamphetamine). The chemistry of other phenethylamine derivatives like methylphenidate and diethylpropion is also interesting.

This is a great educational video. However, I have to rebut one statement you made about recreational use of amphetamine. I tried both amphetamine and methamphetamine as a wild man in my early twenties and you do not have to take a higher dose of Adderall to get high whatsoever. I never took more than one pill at a time of a friend's prescribed amphetamine and I wouldn't sleep for at least 24 hours and there was no noticeable difference between the high of her prescribed medication and street meth at all. And I know this is the same for all the other people involved in that circle at the time.

They recently got rid of the term ADD and put it on a spectrum of type 1, 2, and 3 ADHD under new classification you would be ADHD type 1

Methamphetamine is neurotoxic. Amphetamine is not. The precursor to amphetamine (PPA) was banned outright 15 yrs ago leaving only meth precursors (pseudoephedrine, etc) around hence a meth epidemic. I theorize if the opposite were banned and PPA were the chemical used to make stims we wouldn't see a planet ravaged, just a mild stim good for studies/working.

I only tried meth twice within my 30 years of life and did not care for it at all, it felt purely hedonistic and just grimy overall the dry mouth and urge to spank the monkey was overwhelming and not pleasent. But amphetamine I did enjoy from time to time, I took it a lot when I was a cab driver at night from age 19-22 and lemme tell ya it's the perfect drug for that job, the comedown was never anything crazy for me and nothing I couldn't fix with a soma and some beer but I never binged on it and never took more than 2 speed pills at time. Opioids and benzos are what did it for me, first taste of those and it was off to the races.

A total intake of amphetamine at or higher than 1000mg is neurotoxic. Methamphetamine is neurotoxic at much smaller doses due to the methyl group attached to it. Amphetamine have also been found to cause novel alterations to the nervous system, similar to those that occur during degenerative processes that affect the basal ganglia.

Hello, I have a question about the stereo chemical configuration of the two substances. I learned the discriptors of the R S configuration and don't understand whether D is equivalent to R since Dextro and Rectus both mean right and S and L are the same because both mean left. I asked chatgpt and it said they are not equivalent to each other , I don't understand the reasoning. Is (R-)Amphetamine the same as (L-)Amphetamine or not and why not?

What molecular class of substance is it for example amp and math are strong central nervous system stimulant (CNS) BUT VERY IMPORTANT exists as two enantiomers: levo-methamphetamine and dextro-methamphetamine most street math is racemic so has both but is predominantly L (tent cities, oversleep, mopey, trouble communicating) older meth is D(no sleep, lots of energy, people want to commite crimes, lunacy)

you can’t smoke it but just crush up some adderall and put it in a coffee filter, put a little glass plate below, and pour some 95% isopropyl alcohol through. (amphetamine = water soluble.) (cuts in big pharma adderall ≠ water soluble.) the 5% water in the isopropyl alcohol will carry amphetamine molecule. let alcohol evaporate off plate when done, you have less product, but much more potent (less is more) amphetamine. Scrape with razor blade. chop it and “smell” it using a straw. 🎉

Is Amphetamine Salts the same as DextroAmp-Amphetamine? I have ADD/ADHD and am prescribed medication for it. I have found that Amphetamine Salts actually helps me focus, and when I got prescribed DextroAmp-Amphetamine it didn't help me at all; no matter what mg was prescribed.

Amphetamine salts (like whats in adderall) are a mixture of levoamphetamine and dextroamphetamine. Whereas dextroamphetamine (whats in dexedrine) is just straight dextroamphetamine. In chemistry terms they are just different enantiomers. In practical terms the levoamphetamine is said to be more physically stimulating while the dextroamphetamine is more mentally stimulating. Many people say they prefer the dextro but some studies do show that mixing the 2 enantiomers (like how adderall does) paradoxically causes more mental stimulation.

Dextro and levo are mirror images of each other. Think of them like a pair of gloves. The left glove doesn't fit on the right hand and vice versa. So each isomer (dex and lev) will affect the brain differently. I know levoamphetamine affects the peripheral nervous system and dextroamphetamine affects the other one (forget the name of it haha). Stay away from Adderall (levoamphetamine). Dexedrine's safer and better for anxiety too.

If I was trying to get "intoxicated" I'd prefer adderall too (and it's tempting) but I take 35mg dexedrine daily and find it less tense, jittery, and anxious than adderall. Which makes sense seeing that levoamphetamine is a PNS stimulant "The peripheral nervous system (PNS) is the division of the nervous system containing all the nerves that lie outside of the central nervous system (CNS). The primary role of the PNS is to connect the CNS to the organs, limbs, and skin." So really levo just affects the body not the mind (CNS) which is why levo on it's own doesn't help cognition. The dextro isomer gives mental energy and levo gives physical energy. But yeah man adderall gives you that extra kick for sure haha Not to be rude either bro but I noticed your attempt to answer this fella's question was literally "that's the way the CNS works". L-phenylalanine is the common isomer (naturally occurring) hydrogenate that and you'll get L-AMP. D-phenylalanine is the synthetic isomer hydrogenate that and you get D-AMP (dexedrine) off topic but you mentioned it. Overall adderall is harder on your heart and body in general also your mind too I guess given the extra adrenal fatigue it causes. I even feel guilty taking dexedrine because I know it'll catch up to me someday. Amphetamines aren't really a good long term solution no matter how you slice it. When you finally do stop your symptoms will be worse than when you started and the longer you use them the worse it is for that. A little suffering in the beginning can save a whole lot of suffering in the end. Little buggers are addictive haha But dexedrine is safer and there's no arguing that. It's not a matter of opinion. I also sleep a lot better since I started dexedrine.

There are several different methods of isolating a specific enantiomer in synthesis, which is called enantioselective synthesis. There are multiple approaches to this and I couldn’t find which one is used for amphetamine but one common method in pharmaceuticals is called enantioselective catalysis. This involves using a chiral catalyst during synthesis to selectively yield a desired enantiomer. Another common method is to synthesize a racemic mixture, then separate it into its enantiomers by means of a few different methods of chromatography. I’m no pharmacologist so I can’t say what technique manufacturers use.

Levo-methamphetamine cannot be purchased at Walmart. You're thinking of propylhexedrine. Same structure, but instead of an aromatic phenyl ring like with meth, it's just a hexane ring.

He took LSD as his preferred substance, but the bikers took over the LSD distribution from the US initially, & then globally too by the early 70s... He speaks quite openly about this being when pure & clean LSD of the 60's... Was to become the poison tainted LSD that was cut & mixed up by the bikers controlling the LSD world afterwards.
