What a performance. There's just nothing better than hearing the quality or Ruhan du Toit and Amira together. I waited years for them to perform this masterpiece together. And they made a masterpiece of it by themselves!!!!!!

This performance must be one of Amiras finest I was enchanted by her beautiful voice the whole performance was world class.

Oh my gosh! A change in hairstyle, a change in wardrobe, and suddenly, she is no longer the little girl who won HGT. She is a beautiful young woman with extraordinary talent. Well done Amira! Bravo!

Yes, to sing O Mio Babbino Caro at nine with such extraordinary impact, that was amazing. But to be fair, change of hairstyle and wardrobe here is assisted by the passage of time: 11 years will do that for many of us. Just a passing observation, no criticism intended 😊

What a great performance of Amira and Ruhan du Toit! I think in this piece Amira showcases her actual vocal range from the G3 in the beginning (She starts with A3, but the 7th tone is a G3) to the E6 in the end! Phenomenal! 🥰

@@cmlarose50 Good question, my friend. A C6 can brutally damage the vocal cords, to the point of bleeding, if the person attempting it has no vocal support or technique. This is not the case with Amira. She has projected C6 countless times at the end of Nella Fantasia. At the age of 13, she projected a long D6 followed by a short E6 flat when she sang Amazing Grace. To sing the very high and powerful final riffs of The Phanton of the Opera, and especially the powerful final E6, Amira took masterclasses with the magnificent soprano Wendy Kokkelkoren. Thus, Amira, with her powerful vocal instrument given from Above and with a lot of proper technique and training, is able to sing the most challenging notes with safety.

You can check her video TOP 10| Sensational Vocals Wendy Kokkelkoren and check the conversation, it is 100 percent true, ahahaha. Here is the answer from Wend,y quote, She is a very sweet, loving and talented colleague. I helped her last year with a small masterclass and studying a difficult opera aria. The high notes she could reach already :) :) :)Greetings Wendy So you again were 100 percent wrong when you said Wendy taught her the high notes, do your homework first..

@@jorgechavesfilho So in fact it was Wendy who helped Amira with her Ebben and it ended up more or less as a catastrophe, Wendy is a complete joke as a teacher, she can´t sing at hoghest level herself, so what to expect. Do you think we should tell Wendy that or at least warn Amira not use her again as a teacher ?

This is a very cool video! Its a mix of all sorts of stuff! Steve Harley and current lyrics, musical and nightwish styles! Only thing I'll say is lot 665 was the monkey playing the symbols, which is pretty significant to the musical's story.

Apart from Amira's Sound of Music Medley, I don't like musicals, and all that is commendable to me in this production is Amira's brilliance, and especially her E6 ending. I hope she hasn't harmed herself.

Nah, she,s just learning more and more different styles. She,s AWESOME.

Ok but not the best. She hits Eb6 regularly with0 effort. I think she is the best voice ever but no one is perfect all the time. I listen every day, never tire of her.

@@jorgechavesfilho well she certainly has the voice for an Operatic soprano, but she sang the song with an almost totally expressionless face, that’s why I asked the question. She hit the notes that Christine sings really well but didn’t act the part as Christine.

I’m in an amateur operatic society and we have teenagers who can really act, they don’t have a voice anything like as good as Amira but they know how to act a song. I admit that this was a semi staged production and not an actual full opera version of Phantom but I stand by my point. If you close your eyes the singing is perfect but if you watch her facial expression it doesn’t change. I’ve loved Amira since she was first discovered but to be a real Opera star she must know how to act as well as sing.

The intro was an extended piece of boredom. The guitar work was impressive and only that and Amira's voice made it OK at best.
