And the teachings of how to take care of the terraces and how to plant rice is passed down verbally, through a song. Not written at all.

That's engineering by the Cordillerans, imagine that place is being battered by almost 20 typhoons every year and no landslide had occurred
Sabah, Malaysia was once part of the Philippine territory, and so, there are still a lot of Muslim Filipinos living there today. My friends and I visited Kota Kinabalu a few years back and it was so refreshing to visit to a country where you can speak Tagalog freely anywhere. During our island hopping, we were the only Filipinos in the group (the rest were Chinese and Koreans) and the Filipino tour guide asked us: "Why are you here? We have more beautiful beaches back home!" :) So true, nothing compares, in all modesty.

Well you should be ashamed when that Filipino guy asked you that. That's the problem with Filipinos with some money to spend travelling. Instead of exploring their own country, they chose to explore other countries. Help the country by touring and exploring our own beautiful places here.

@@vomitingconfetti7187 You should know me before you judge me, when you said I should be ¨ashamed¨. I have been to almost all the beaches in the entire country, want some proof? Add me on facebook and see for yourself. You should be the one to be ASHAMED of yourself for judging me! Exploring the world is something we should do to better understand the culture of the other nations to be LESS JUDGEMENTAL of people.

Please react to an interesting facts contribution in the Philippine History : 1. An Open Door : Jewish Rescue in the Philippines 2. Tubabao Odyssey : Refuge in the Philippines ( White Russians)
It’s being called chocolate hills because the green hills turn into brown that resemble like Hershey’s chocolate during summer season.
Beautiful the Philippines ocean is wonderful by it's Nature and Banaue rice terraces is 2000 years old. 🇵🇭☀️⭐⭐⭐❤
In reference to the rice terraces, the tribe have quite the reputation as well as the terrain, that is why it was able to thrive without the reach of colonization for a long time
React to the Philippines Festivals❤️🇵🇭
There is a part of Hinatuan Enchanted River where swimming's prohibited because of erosion and it's roped off. The rest is ok to bathe in and explore. It's not only the river that people come to see but the over-all surroundings and forest cover are magical as well. It's a very well-maintained sanctuary. It's my favorite of these '7 wonders'.
Fun fact: Banaue Rice Terrences used in movie avengers... Thanos live in kubo(house made of bamboos) SORRY TO MY ENGLISH, BECAUSE I'M JUST 15 YEARS OLD:)

zambales hiking trails very underrated. After mount pinatubo blew, they changed the lanscaped which blows my mind when i see it now its perfect for overlanding adventures. Also if you can rent a motorcycles, the drive through mountains of Baguio is one of the best and it gets cooler as you up the mountains. Alaminos city is my hometown. The hundred Island i must say no matter many times you go there is always something new in those islands.
Just a piece of advice the best time to visit Banaue Rice Terraces is on the months of April/May or October/November..those were the greenest season of the ricefield..because the rice is not yet in time for harvest..
That Cordellera rice terraces is about 2 K years.
Chocolate Hills is called such not because it’s made of chocolate but because of its color. In the rainy season, the grass blanketing the hills in the Philippines gives them a soft and lush appearance. While in the summer, the vegetation dies off and turns to a chocolatey brown hue, giving them the name Bohol Chocolate Hills.
actually, the banaue rice terraces is 2,000 years old 12:47

Just buy a Nikonos underwater camera if you want to take photographs underwater. For video, you can buy a less expensive GoPro that you can attach to your divemask or on a special handle.
🔸Zack efron went on top of the Mt. Mayon w/ his dad and ate balut. 🔸 Banawe Rice terraces is 2,000 bc years old.
Very educational.... Thank you... And free sight seeing for me!
Mount Pinatubo is also now an epic wonders of the Philippines after the eruption in 1991, now it turned into a wonderful Rocky Mountains around the vicinity that people are now visiting to witness. I just seen it on Yourube 2 days ago. It’s really wonderful.

proud HINATUANON. Enchanted will open again this Friday ❤️
We do island hopping in Pangasinan. You just have to rent a private boat and ask them to bring you to a private island or an island that is not popular to tourist.
Banaue rice terraces was formed during the time of christ more than 2000 years made by bare hands, and bulo(philippine knife)

Mabuhay philippine islands
The rice terraces are more than 100 years, they are roughly 2000 years old. Making that landscape on a mountain range by hand will take more than a hundred years.
Hi I'm Yolanda Misa fr.bohol so happy to watch that our Provence included the list
There are many co-species of lionfish, zebrafish, firefish, and turkeyfish, of the Pterois genus. They are native in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean but invasive to the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean. They are normally encountered in the Philippines and the other local species are not at risk from them.
Avengers endgame when thanos woke up watching sunrise at the end of the movie actually filmed it in rice terraces.
It called chocolates hills bcoz during summer all the hills wil turn brown like a chocolates..
You guys should definitely go to PALAWAN and visit PUERTO PRINCESSA underground river it’s once in a lifetime experience you’ll ever have because it’s for your eyes only once ur inside it’s breathtaking different kinds of limestone formations(been there)and of course the Banahue (ifugao)rice terraces in BAGIOU
Guys...check out Finn Snow's channel here....he's an avid diver from Iceland who now lives in the Philippines , he has some cool dive camera gear.
Thank you for touring us in my country Philippines I come from were is mayon volcano so beautiful country I'm watching from Australia ❤❤
Yah lionfish are invasive species that spread so quick that some people get paid to hunt them since they decimate the aquatic habitat that also help maintain the reefs. In Florida I think they get paid $5-$6 a pound. They usually use spears to catch them and it doesn’t matter if they’re killed or not. They will make fillets out of them and supposedly they are delicious. I haven’t tried so I can’t confirm that.
Most of Our Places here in the Philippines was declared by UNESCO world heritage, a protected sites as part of conservation efforts. That's explain why main modern cities and urban landscape are crowded.
Chocolate hills if you open them they are all limes.
Hinatuan enchanted river is a fresh water,..
Yehey finally thanks po!!!
In the summer, the hills turn brown and look like kisses. Thats why they called it chocolate hills
Thank you for reacting to the Philippines
The Tubbataha Reef is among the top 5 largest coral reefs in the world. It is truly spectacular there as it is protected by UNESCO and was declared a heritage site. It is not easily accessible yet avid foreign divers make the effort to dive there... that alone says a lot.

I'm from the Philippines... Lion fish like snake head is not considered a treat here. In fact, snake heads would be considered a delicacy here as its rather hard to find them here now.
I think they derived the name chocolate hills from its brown color during summer time..
We love you guys💓💓💓
Beautyful land🇵🇭❤🇮🇩
If you come to the Philippines get a very reputable travel tour agency. Or have a friend/local that can take you all over the country

It is called CHOCOLATE HILLS because during the rainy season the hills turn brown and muddy and the grass don't sprung until the early months of summer
Amazing philippines
there is another one that has only been discovered in 2015. tha kaparkan falls in the prvince of abra.
One of the picture of rice terraces not in ifugao... it's in Vietnam 🇻🇳
Nope! Called chocolate hills because they appear like Kisses chocolate from a distance.
Banaue rice terraces is thosand years old.. Done only by hand..
There are a lot of hotels in Boracay.
The reason it is called the Chocolate hills is because they turn brown when it's dry season and turns green when it's rainy season. or maybe the other way around I'm not sure rlly
The river that we swam at when i was a child is now a creek it is sad but its also where i almost died we were close to the waterfall i got carried by the currents
they called it chocolate hills because when its raining season it turn green and then when it summer it turn brown
🇵🇭❤❤❤
Im a proud albayano/legazpeno we live nearby the majestic mt mayon volcano our house is in 6 kilometer danger zone.
I guess the name of of the chocolate hills came from Hershey's Kisses chocolate because of it's similarities in shape.
Regarding the lion fish thing. They’re only a menace in the Atlantic Ocean cause they’re invasive there. They’re native to the pacific and Indian Ocean so it’s not a problem.
VIGAN CITY ILOCOS SUR IS THE 7 WONDERS IN THE WORLD BCOS OF THE SPANISH HERITAGE
Chocolate hills had it's name because on summer it becomes chocolate colored or brown, because of the grass leaves drying, and not because it's made of chocolate...
Banaue rice terraces is not just hundred yrs as you think it’s more than 2 thousand yrs old
Try also to comment The biggest arena in the world.🇸🇽
Please react to Philippine Scout Ranger.
Chocolate hills is like Hershey chocolate...
How about Mythical Creatures of the PH :)
It was name chocolate hills based on american chocolate named kisses.
You can find THANOS resting somewhete at the Rice Terraces 😅
No. During summer when the sun is too hot the hills dry up and green turns to brown like chocolates.
Please react to the March of the Valiant. Philippines troops account by the veterans during their encounter in the Korean War.
Wow 🙏
Thats island made of nature.
The lionfish is a native species in the Philippines or specifically the Indo-Pacific... what happened in other countries' oceans like in the Atlantic is that some irresponsible pet owners could've released the lionfish into the waters they do not belong to, thus making them an invasive species there. The Pacific is home to so many animals immune to its toxin, whilst in the Atlantic, only a few like the murray eels which also live in the Pacific, could prey on the lionfish.
The Lion Fish Poisons the Corral Reef
The Lion Fish is not a problem in the Philippines because they are native to the tropical waters,, the problem started when they started importing the lion fish salt water aquarium pet.. they dispose to waters in Florida that it become a top of food chain in your coral system.
Pls react of who's country is have more gold
YEA THO ON CHOCOLATE HILLS THAT'S WHAT AM THINKING WHEN I WAS I KID😂😂😂
