I heard a story of an eagle attack in the philippines before. My uncle told me about this. He was with a vet looking out for Philippine eagle to check their numbers or tags. One vet accidentally stumbled upon an eagle trying to capture a monkey that was headed to him, the monkey run under him then they eagle tried gauging his face. Luckily they already have their tranquilize gun ready, so they shot the eagle to stop it from attacking. Luckily the eagle was fine but the guy got deep wounds in his arms and chest so he was sent to the closest hospital

I used to feed a family of Maya when I was a kid I would collect bugs and beetles toss them in the air and a Maya would swoop down and catch them. And did you know that Maya despite their size can fight off crows and ravens.

Another time was when I was strolling down the beach and it glided over my head I felt the strong wind of its wing span....it was majestic but my balls went up my throat I thought I was dead....maybe it thought Im a bigger prey to handle......comparing it to the bald eagle the haribon has a groovier hair style lol.

Not even to mention that there are several raptors that have a mostly avivorous diet. So yeah, raptors couldn't care less about the fact that they're eating another bird, just as much as a shark wouldn't be bothered about eating another fish :V

I'm a proud American and I love the Bald Eagle. The Philippine Eagle is so powerful on my heart not just because it is an exquisitely beautiful Eagle, but also because they may become extinct, which is tragically sad. Let us remember that God created each species after its own kind, which means that all Eagles are related. The American Bald Eagle, the Philippine Eagle, the Golden Eagle and Harpy Eagle, etc. are all related to each other like distant cousins in the same family. Their all amazing creatures representing true freedom, strength and perseverance. I love them all.

I'm in the Inland Empire (So. Califprnia). We have resident Bald Eagles nearby bodies of water, i.e., lakes. We have seen bald eagles fly over the freeways. We visit some eagles nests and also encountered pairs at 10 feet above ground. They are massive. Their eyes will intimidate anyone at close range. I have been intimidated by several of our bald eagles 😂. I sure would love to encounter the Philippine eagles someday.

Wahahaha. The Philippine eagle somehow reflects the Filipinos. Its face looks friendly, cute and carefree. And due to its hair, it looks naturally like a carefree king 🤣 but can be fierce when protecting their family. Bald eagles are intimidating, so pretty! There is really not much studies about Philippine Eagle because it is rare unlike Bald eagles. Philippines eagle have an amazing and resounding tweet or lets say roar. Very iconic!!! You should hear it. It is definitely like a king of the air.

Bald eagle is primarily a fish eagle while the Philippine eagle is a forest eagle. Open land or coastal eagles has relatively longer wingspan relative to its body among eagles because of the need to do long-range cruising and gliding while hunting for prey while forest eagles such as the Philippine eagle and Harpy eagle has a relatively shorter wingspan in relation to body mass among eagles due to its need for quick turns and higher maneuverability navigating around treetops and forest canopy. For perspective, if the Philippine eagle would have the same ratio of wingspan in relation to its body mass as the Bald eagle, its wingspan would have been at least 8.5 feet.
