Karl's initial thoughts on Christ the Redeemer is EXACTLY how I felt about the medieval castle that sits on top of a volcano in the middle of Edinburgh after living there for 2 months. Trying to swim through waves of tourists posing for pictures just to get to work everyday, thinking 'It's just a castle, what's the big deal 🤷‍♂'. I dunno, might be how the Manc mind works 🤣

I liked the Edinburgh castle. Then again I was one of those tourists. That said, Edinburgh has a ton of interesting places to check out. I would love to go there again

Fun fact about cockroaches is that they found us just as disgusting as we find them. If ever they come into contact with a human, they will immediately go hide and clean themselves because they think that we are utterly repulsive 🤣 Don’t worry about them crawling on your face, clean boomer they wouldn’t want to. It’s always a good idea to learn, just one sentence in every single language. That sentences hi my name is (name) do you speak English? I always try and learn that for every country I go to so for example, in Espanola: “hola mi-li-amo (forgot how to spell that so it’s phonetic) Jamie e to? (at this point the person will probably tell you the name) gracias, es to comprende en-gla-isy (again forgot how the spell English but it’s pronounced a bit like that) me espanyola es no bueno” It’s not perfectly right and you will come across like a bit of an idiot, but it is enough to allow most Spanish people to understand that you are saying “ hi my name is Jamie for example what’s your name? Do you speak English because my Spanish is no good?”
