    We, Romanians have no problem with Bulgarians but some of us hate Bulgaria as a tourist place to travel because there are a lot, like A LOT of car thefts on tourists in Bulgaria and their police is so corrupt, working hand-in-hand with the thieves. If you are going to visit Bulgaria, just don't go with your personal car, it will be better if you use busses,trains or maybe rent a car from there ! Have a safe trip !

    My parents grew up in Poland and immigrated to the United States. While I was raised in the U.S. I still visit my grandparents and family in Poland every 2-4 years and every time I come there, I can see that Poland is certainly improving and it’s actually kind of cool to watch.

    Unfortunately, most Americans think that beggars are drunk in Poland on streets, carters drive along streets and potatoes are planted in the city's cenre. The truth is different. The average Pole lives on a higher level than most Americans. Poles are the nation with the highest rate of education in developed countries. 99% of Poles have medical insurance and access to free health care. Education in Poland is free. Entrance to the museums is either free or very cheap. 95% of Poles are one ethnic group. Nature in Poland is one of the best preserved in Europe. Polish agriculture is one of the most natural in Europe. Poland is almost completely free of GMOs. The food produced in Poland is of very good quality. The organic food market in Poland is growing the fastest in Europe. Unfortunately, there are also disadvantages such as energy based on hard coal and only 15% of energy comes from renewable sources. Poland is really free since 1998. Earlier Poland was behind the iron purine. For 30 years, it has been catching up with Western Europe and it is doing it fastest from all countries of Eastern and Central Europe. For 30 years it has been the fastest developing country in this region. Poland is the only European country that has not recorded a recession during the recent financial crisis. The country has a very rich history and culture. The Poles are friendly and open to tourists. The tourist base is very well developed in Poland. There are a lot of good new hotels here especially in coastal regions, mountains and big cities. There have been a lot of bed and breakfasts of good standard throughout the country. Polish cuisine is very good. Prices for tourist services are much cheaper in Poland than in Western Europe. The most interesting cities are Warsaw, Kraków, Gdańsk, Poznań, Wrocław, Toruń, Lublin, Sopot, Malbork, and Wieliczka. Poland is a safe country for tourists in which no terrorist attacks have ever been reported. A special release is needed in possession of the weapon. Without a gun permit, her possession is illegal and is punished. In Poland, it is also a crime to have drugs even for your own use. Alcohol in Poland can be legally bought from the age of 18. Alcohol retailers often ask young people to show their ID card. If you are 18 years old, you can buy any alcohol in Poland. Beer, wine, vodka, wisky, tekila, rum, cognac, bourbon. Alcohol is good in Poland. Cigarettes in Poland, like alcohol, can be purchased by a person who has a personal record of 18 years. cigarettes in Poland are much cheaper than in Western Europe. Clubs, discos, pubs, parties can be found in every major city. There is a lot of them in big cities. Nightlife blooms on weekends and then there are the best parties. Transport in Poland is well organized. There is air, bus and rail transport. Without the slightest problem and cheaply, you can move between all regions of the country. All major car loan companies operate in Poland. The road infrastructure in Poland is slightly worse than in Western Europe, but you can move around the country without any problems. Highways are payable. Roads are free. A liter of 95 petrol costs PLN 5.20 a liter of napolet oil PLN 5.00. The climate in Poland is moderate. Due to climate change in the world, summer in Poland is more and more often very hot. Temperatures can reach up to 35 degrees Celsius in the shade. If you want to come to Poland in summer, the best months will be June, July and August. This year was unique in Poland from April to September, it was very hot in Poland. Winters in Poland are getting weaker. There are such regions in the country where for several years there was no snow at all and frosts were very rare. If you think about skiing then Polish mountains will be a sure region. Particularly the Tatras. The ski base is quite well developed. The hotel base for skiers is very well organized but in the season there may be a shortage of places, so you have to book them in advance. The best months for winter holidays in Poland are December January and sometimes March. In Poland, in every city in each bank you exchange USD, EUR, CHF and GBP currencies for PLN. the official exchange rate is set daily by the National Bank of Poland. The exchange rate of commercial banks differs from it by 1-2% and not more. In Poland, you'll pay almost all the most popular payment cards as well as a telephone.

    Piotr Rydzynski damn what shocks me is the prices, going there every year for holidays is always a shock. In the U.K. I pay £15 for 8gb of data and unlimited everything else, in Poland my brother has unlimited everything in his mobile with an unlimited WiFi router all for 50zl (£10)

  • @piotrerkner6261

    @piotrerkner6261

    There are four mobile phone companies in Poland. These companies are fighting each other for the client. Prices drop each year. Five years ago, I paid more for the phone alone than in 2018 for the phone and unlimited internet. As far as the fixed-line network is concerned, currently a huge program of increasing access to the Internet is being implemented in Poland in every place. I live in a village where very few people live. I have a fiber-optic cable fed into the house. I have broadband internet without any limit, and cable TV. I pay 120 PLN a month for everything. By 2020, optical fiber is to be delivered to every Polish village. Poles know that they must quickly catch up with Western Europe. We need such investments. Similarly with roads. We are building many highways now. It is a necessity, as is the modernization of the army. Unfortunately, we are short of hands to work. In Poland, at the moment unemployment is 3.5% and is the lowest in the EU. A lot of Poles went to WB because there you can earn better. The part is slowly coming back, but it's not enough. In this context, many Ukrainians come to work in Poland. In 2017, Poland accepted the largest number of economic emigrants in the entire European Union. They were mainly Ukrainians, Belarussians, Moldovans and Russians. Officially, according to EU data, we adopted 850,000 in 2017. Unofficially, around 1.5 million of them came to Poland. Still, there are not enough employees.

    Dzień dobry! I'm from France and I've been twice in Poland, in Kraków exactly! You should really travel to this city, full of history and because it remains the historical and cultural capitale of Poland I think. Kraków is a really beautiful, with many colorful buildings, the pretty Jewish district called Kazimierź. There are many things to do in Krakow you could learn a lot of Poland's history and Polish culturel. Also try to get around by visiting Zakopane at the south close to the Slovakian border, visit the salt mines in Wieliczka and if you are ready to, if you want to see this place you can visit the camps of Auschwitz-Birkenau I falled in love with Poland, Poles, their good and I managed to learn some of Polish which is very difficult with all these consonants

I live in Illinois, and we can buy Kluski noodles, kielbasa sausage, etc. In Illinois we have a lot of Americans of Polish heritage, and we celebrate Casimir Polaski Day (the first Monday in March, every year). Casimir Polaski Day is celebrated every year in the U.S. state of Illinois (kids get have no school that day!) in memory of Casimir Pulaski, a Revolutionary War cavalry officer born in Poland - whose Polish name was Kazimierz Pułaski. Poland looks like a fantastic country - and we Americans have a strong connection to it! Poland is now on my list of "Must-See" countries!

    In what way? You say that France and Germany have the same culture? Dont think so, have you been in Poland? Did you noticed that our food is kinda similar to german? We write in latin alphabet, if you travel east theres an cyrillic alphadet. We are not from russian cultural circle. We where the dominant culture until our eclipse in XVIII century. But we are back. West sold us to russians without our consent and you are making the same sin saying that we are basicly russians and cementing this untrue idea. You should check the story about russian independence day to know that we are not the same. We had 25 years of freadom and we are already in a developed country group and you still believe that we are in some way worse. Travel a bit, come to Poland and then travel east and then say that we are like them. We are central european nation, do not put as in the same pot with russians, our archenemy!

    Nack Jicholson. Just no. First of all, what even makes ice cream venecian? There is no rule, law or even recipe that makes ice venecian. Its just a bogus term used to trick people into buying the ice cream. Sure enough if you produce your own ice cream in germany with your own recipe it is german ice cream, but that isnt really a selling point and so people just call it venecian ice. So that makes no sense. And for the Reinheitsgebot: It does limit the ingredients for beer to only 4: Hop, Malt, Water and Yeast (or Barley for that matter), but brewing beer is not like creating a milkshake, where you just put it all in one pot and mix it to a somewhat homogeneous liquid. Not only does it depend on how much of each ingredient you put in but also on how you brew it. This way thousands of different kinds of beer are brewed and they all taste quite different. And every brewery is proud of their very own recipe and way of brewing.

    ja ahm seriously??? The truth hurts that the Polish people always were and still are the most intelligent nation, that’s why we were and still are eliminated/exterminated, especially by psycho Germans and Russians. If not the two last world wars and previous invasions on Poland you would not hear about Germany or Russia, they would not exist anymore, but slowly they will disappear, especially Germany with their “multi culti” agenda.

    M P, not being able to see your own shortcomings, now, that's the measure of lack of intelligence and, frankly, stupidity. I am a Pole, but being exposed to other cultures, here in the US, I learned that we are not so special, just pretty average. Many other countries had the similar or way worse history, we are not the most unfortunate" victims". There are few good things, but also few not so good thigs about us. Just like every other nation. Stop that primitive, self-aggrandizing narrative. Also, don't you know that capitalization of your whole post is bad etiquette? I know: you wouldn't know or you would not care.

    Poland is a Great country. Huge changes in recent years thanks to a good government and good politics. Poland has a great chance to lead Europe in the near future - I'm thinking in 20-30 years if the country politics will remain on good relations with the US, Visegard Group, Three Seas Initiative. Poland a member of the EU has a good potential to achieve all of its political goals.

    I live not far away from Poland but I have actually never been there. Even though I love traveling and I have been to some places Poland was never an option for me. Yk it was just prejudices and what people were saying about Poland here in Germany. Now I am really interested to go to Poland one day. You are such an inspiration. Thx a million

    All people i know never said anything bad about Germany or Germans. We have some political tension between Poland and EU because of immigration laws and refugees but common people don`t really care. I would love to visit Germany one day as well. I`ve heard you can have lots of fun in the clubs in Berlin. Oktoberfest also sounds fun.

    Artur Kowalicki Yes thats the bad thing. On the Internet you see a lot of anti polish/anti german people but in real life Germans and Poles can easily visit each others countries without making any racist experiences.

    I taught at the college in Rzeszow for a summer years ago and the thing I remember the most about it all is the great food. Everywhere we went when eating out offered a real mix of Polish and all-European bends of menus...especially around the Rynek Kosciuszko square. Outdoor venues, great little hidden gem restaurants, beer, friendly folks...what's not to like. Fantastic destination but do your research of course. I loved Rzeszow but I think my favorite place there is Krakow. Thanks for a pleasant reminder, na zdrowie.
