True, but models would be probably happier if they ate steak bakes more often

The funny thing is, Gregg's is good but it's the lowest quality of the type of thing they make. Getting the same things from an independent bakery will be even better but more expensive. One of the great attractions of Gregg's is price and for that price you're not getting the worst food. It has its place and their sausage rolls are legendary.

Yes Greggs is all right but nothing special really, specialist at reheating stuff. An independent bakery tends to produce stuff with more flavour

@@cyberash3000 don't know where you are in the UK but in London Gregg's is by far not the best sausage roll. It's good price for what it is and I wouldn't call it bad quality. Just that it's not the best

I once pulled a Greggs sausage roll apart by accident, and what the hell those sausages are made from I do not know. But it certainly didn’t look like pork. Greggs is mainly just cheap and average. But for some reason that seems to be the British taste at the moment

The filling in the doughnut is called Jam.

It’s Raspberry. Jam doughnuts in the uk are generally Raspberry. Other flavours are widely available but would say what it is. But ‘Jam doughnuts’ are Raspberry.

Get yourself to Borough Market, and go to the Ginger Pig stall for one of their hot sausage rolls 😋, or any good independent baker. BTW, you don't have a sausage in a sausage roll (that has other ingredients than just meat), it's 100% sausage meat without the skin. This is seasoned and sometimes mixed with herbs before baking in flaky pastry. Best served hot with a hot mug of tea.

We don't do "grape" as a flavour anywhere in the UK. Blackcurrant, raspberry or strawberry jam usually, and never jelly 😃. Greggs started up in Gosforth where the dad had a sandwich delivery round. Come on a bit since then. Great video.

just to let you know that isnt a butter pie. butter pies DO exist but you can generally only get them in lancashire, a butter pie is a pie with potato and butter. nothing else lots and lots of butter

My favourite Greggs is a plain Cheese & Ham bagette. I do like the pizza slices, but they have this weird thing where they cannot re-heat them, so if you call at the wrong time, you get a stone cold or slightly off version of what you were hoping for ...

Hi, from your comments on the sausage roll, you are thinking of it as a sausage in a roll. Such that the sausage can be cooked separately, its not, we do have those, we also have 'sausage in Yorkshire pudding (Toad in the Hole)' which also involves a cooked sausage wrapped. A sausage roll is sausage meat (not skin) not cooked, wrapped in pastry, then baked. You should also try the Greggs vegan sausage roll. Most Greggs cook (reheat) though out the day, early morning is often a good time to get there, but I'm guessing that's not necessarily a good time for you. As you said their pizza is not good, there are many better.

I don't know what Gregg's You used... but their Doughnuts are usually filled with RASPBERRY jam! 😮😮😮

You've tried the best Greggs has - the sausage roll and the steak bake. You won't beat those. You might prefer a Yum Yum to the jam/jelly donut - give that a try next time. Americans don't seem to like any of the pastries with baked beans in them, so probably best to avoid those. They do a vegan sausage roll but it's not as good as the real thing! Best wishes!

We're so used to meat pies that the concept of the fruit pies Americans love, we generally find disgusting 😂

sausage rolls are amazing

Get the Chicken Fillet Burger meal from Morleys and a donner lamb Kebab with all the trimmings and chilli sauce at 2am somewhere. Dont forget to say "Can I have some Chilli sauce, boss" .

i got all this stuff & more for free as a kid lol, still do now and then as my mom works in greggs and has for 20+ years. the "jam" inside your donut is raspberry jam, different thing to jelly lol, you can get chocolate and strawberry ones too though. wtf are you doing to that steak bake? 😂 breaking it up and dipping it into itself is a first for me lol. i recommend trying a sausage & bean melt, the seeded cob sandwiches (mexican chicken is my go-to), caramel custard, cream eclair, & tripple choc muffins. baaanging 👌🏼 traaast meh

We never have grape flavoured things in the uk! Think the donut has strawberry jam. I used to like the chocolate iced donuts the best but I’m vegan now and they stopped doing them but I like the vegan donuts they taste like yum yums!

The vegan sausage roll is top tier as well. Still sad they took away the macaroni pie in Scotland. RIP. Can't say I'm a huge fan of the pizza though.

I have eaten in Scotland for a week, with amazing food at local restaurants. If I go back, I will try Gregg's for the experience, but hold my judgment of British food. As an American, I think our cuisine is one of the best, but hate when people judge American food by McDonald's, so I assume it would be similar to judge British food by Gregg's to people from England
