I love this set. My 8 year old granddaughter has many hours of enjoyment with this set.

I would love it if they released that blue Camaro by itself. Nice.

I got this exact set for $165 just for the cars and starter track. Then added $$$$$ for more track, and foam for a custom layout. The cars are beautiful and the main reason I got this set. Highly recommend anybody with these starter sets seek out the Scalextric ARC powerbase. It’s not the PRO Digital version…it’s the one that works with ANALOG cars but still can program (with the free bluetooth app): Pace car, PIT STOPS due to Fuel, Weather conditions, random engine trouble, tire changes! And it’s a lap counter! You can program both cars (lanes) to slow down to a crawl when they run out of “fuel”, forcing a pit stop. Being it’s not digital, the pit stop is on the main track. The ARC controllers are wireless and the trigger is SO much smoother and easier to use! The ARC powerbase is really hard to find now and I overpaid on eBay just to get a new one….but it was worth it. Layout is done and currently running magnets and no-magnets, depending on who I’m racing or going against a pace car. I guess soon I need to make a video of what I created…

Now that's a great set. As you said, the cars are an important part of why you'd make this a first set. Awesome.

@Slot Car News was cool to see you doing an opening of that set. I was driving and pulled off into a parking lot to watch. Was just leaving the $1.25 Tree Store. Was picking up white and black foam board for use with my layout.

Looks like a nice starter set. That Mustang and Camaro look good!

I agree it would be cool if they made a Fox body Mustang but currently they don't. So they've put their best 2 molds in this set.

Yes i'm guessing they had some extra cars available and they would cobble together packaging enough to sell a handful to the club.

@@SlotCarNewsOfficial Yes, it was a Limited release here in the U.K. So far as I’m aware only 300 red Mustangs were released in special packaging. Love the Camaro. Looks great in those colours 😁

Will the fencing and "retaining wall" fit on Carrera and vice versa? I just got beautiful fencing and walls from GreatTraditions/Lakota Collectables they are somewhat rea$onable . I understand they are being made by Professor Motor and are in demand!

I have to agree with you on not liking jumps, running up a wall tracks,360 loops or crossovers, be they on a single straight or at 90 degrees. One of your opening shots is extremely misleading. It showed you putting together a s**tload of track when the kit only has enough track for a small figure 8. My first recommendation would be an extension pack(s) to create an interesting layout

sure it was fun as a kid, but as the person who's dealt with thousands of calls for warranty issues I really don't like intentionally encouraging damage to cars.

It would be better to not have the crossover or have super resistant cars. I like the jump, I use mine with rally cars. Scalextric is a toy brand, I think a warning about using the crossover and car damage would be a good idea. Nice set overall. 👌
