Revoslot is not a brand I will ever buy into again. No customer service, poor quality control and a high price. I will now only buy bodies and use 3dp chassis, not sure why everyone raves about them.

SPOT ON COMMENTARY about REVOSLOT!! They are truly in a class by themselves and I'm glad to see more people recognizing this. Your comment about "parody" and "evening out the playing field" is another main reason why our group is such a fan of that manufacturer. I personally believe that no other company offers performance that is fairly equal between cars of not only the same but different liveries. I enjoy your weekly posts and find it to be a great source to keep up on what is new within the hobby. Thank you for the time and info you put together each week.

The original 959 Dakar ready assembled and factory decorated cars sold out pdq, luckily managed to get one at a winter slotfest that was in the Coventry motor museum, before the Gaydon one, cracking model, this will sell well I'd guess . The basic 911 concept suitably modified has to be the most successful sports car of all time I'd guess, from Monte Carlo to Dakar to the Safari and London/Sydney to Le Mans and all race tracks in-between. Have a great weekend, fingers crossed for McLaren tommorow in the GP.
Leyton house is of historical significance, a certain Mr A Newey cut his teeth there. Revoslot are one of my favourites, but at our UK club only 7 of our 27 members have one, really marmite cars, don't know why. Had a fantastic 11 days at Le Mans this year, my 35th visit, those Stangs were imho the most interesting cars in the field, looked great, sounded great. I'll be getting all three if they produce them, #44,77,88. The Mustang poster given away in the Tuesday pit lane autograph session is great as well, . Thanks for the updates, French sites are looking at late 24 for the first Sideways Stang l.
The Revoslots are great the best racing when you have a whole field of them and as you point out lots of interesting classes. Nice to drive solid and fast enough 🤙👍
Heads up Dave, that crazy LMM Espace is a static model for this release. For whatever reason LMM requires you to buy a (specific) chassis and convert it to a slot car yourself. 🙄
Why not just buy some turbo racing 1/76 and build your own track? I had slot when I was a kid but wanted more than just a gas pedal not flying off challenge. My dad loves these but it’s too much like nascar for me

Right on Revo Slot! Seems like every other car I buy these days is a Revo. Great out of the box, but there are some tried and true tuning moves that make them even better. I think their BMWs, Alfas, and MKs are some of the best out there.
Your right, Revoslot does produce very impressive cars. I have several and probably will have more by the end of the year. Thanks for the weekly update.

A great take on Revoslot here Dave. I am surprised they have not gone in the direction of different available gearing and motors just yet? IROC classes are great when we want to run them but we otherwise do sometimes choose to run more open classes where some skill in tuning with its inherent trade offs can make the difference to a race result and so why not deliver this dimension in choice? Motor racing has never been a one size fits all kind of sport.

It's interesting to see how many fans Shapeways had, but I'm a bit confused as to why. I'm a 3D hobbyist, and when I used to print 32mm minis I'd created, Shapeways used to charge me between £50-£75 per miniature (think Space Marine size)! I went out and bought an Anycubic Photon and, after printing three of my minis (at much higher quality than I ever got back from Shapeways), it had literally paid for itself. I know there's a lot of clean-up work involved with resin, but I can print stuff for literal pennies that Shapeways would charge a fortune for. With so many people buying their own printers these days, I'm not surprised they went under. That said, of course, I'm sure they also were able to print in materials other than resin, which wouldn't be as accessible to the average hobbyist. But yeah, they just didn't work out for me (so no judgement!), but I'd be really interested to hear from their customers why they were their preferred option.

The Scale Auto Question is like asking which one is your favourite Kid LOL. They are all Very Decent and capable runners in their Class, with the Price points and Accessories and upgrades between each making it value for your money to Go to the Next level if your so inclined. Do any White Kits include decals? Nobody talks about that, even the company's website doesn't mention decals. Why would they not make that an option if they are not included, or conversely, why are they not included?!
The only kit I know of that comes with decals is the SRC kits. Most companies that make kits, don’t make decals so sourcing them only for white kit projects
I looked up the address shown on the Carrera graphic on google maps. Something's not right. Looks like low income or public housing to me, what do you think?

Hi Dave, a great news update once again, and I am grateful to hear that Thunderslot may have a second production of their Ferrari 350’s as I missed out on the original release. I hear what you are saying about the SRC investment opportunity, and agree with you in regard to who it’s aimed at. My own experience of “crowd-funding” has been disappointing and frustrating, albeit that it was a board game and not a slot car. That said, investment has risks, and rewards, so it will be interesting to see how SRC gets on.
