The P--100s are those P-400s which were P-39s with 20mm in nose in place of the 37mm? Sadly nicknamed a P-40 with a zero on it's tail.

Extremely detailed and unbiased. I couldn't put this down. My father was a Marine during this time and was active as an artillery sergeant. Incredible! My father didn't want to talk about it much as I'm sure he lost some friends.

Yes, the A. I. pronunciation is interesting...and hilarious.

I didn’t know about a lot of this. Iwhat’s interesting is that Lincoln had the hardest time finding a general who would fight! They made tons of excuses. Lincoln begged them to go on the offense. Then one of them was just stupid. He had reports ALL day long that the rebels were on the move, and he ignored it. Interesting that in WW2 Nimitz has this issue with Gormally (sp) Amazing to not have a plan ready in the event that things go differently than expected.!!! To look Nimitz in the face and say he doesn’t need a plan unless the Japanese… I can’t remember… but if I were Nimitz I’d be pissed! And the dude hadn’t even been to Guadalcanal when they were expecting a giant battle there. I wonder why Nimitz didn’t fire him

I enjoy listening to these historical videos but the Ai voice over with its mispronunciation make it a bit hard to listen to.

I wonder if these mispronunciations are triggered by spelling mistakes? I can hear "submarines" pronounced correctly and incorrectly in quick succession. Otherwise the flawless AI voice is spooky. It's only the odd mistake that gives it away.

I recently started listing to this channel. Didn't realize the voice was AI - I had guessed that they'd got Kenneth Branagh to do the narration...but the current count of videos on this channel is 303. Branagh x 303 = nope, don't have that much money 😃

It's also the odd pacing. At one point it gave a rank (pause x2) name. It is unfortunate. Still, great content.
