There are a lot of countries where ice hockey is played, not just those 5, but those 5 are waaaaaaay ahead of the others (Well, Czechia is actually easily inside top 6 as well) when it comes to international success, the other countries have great years, but rarely stay at top for more than a year or two, like these 5 I highly recommend watching some videos about Teemu Selänne, his career on and off ice was absolutely inspiring

Finland is not the underdog anymore though. 3 golds and 1 silver from the last 4 tournaments. Finland's best on best roster is totally comparible to Sweden, Russia or USA.

You should go and watch the Dallas Stars play a game at some point if that's your home team. Ice Hockey is a really entertaining fast paced sport and you just might love it. They also have 5 finnish players in the team.
