It's always so interesting hearing JJ's asides about his film/tv/music experiences. Sometimes I find those the most interesting part of the video!

He fell into the trap of " they can have , a , b , c , etc then looks on Amazon " but the film was from the 70s with no money and no Amazon "

I love this movie, it's brilliant! It was low budget but it worked. We quote it so much in our home and I can't have coconuts with out clicking them together and trotting around the room. Great video, thanks for sharing. I will look up cinema stix. Wishing you well 😀

I think most people's reaction when they see the ending is: WTF? Is that it? has it finished. It takes a while to realise the ending is literally a 'cop out'👮‍♂👮‍♂👮‍♂🤣🤣🤣

NOW I understand the dark knight protecting the bridge scene. They couldn't afford to pay the whole actor, so kept cutting bits off him to make him smaller and less valuable to pay because he was now a damaged actor. It all makes sense now. They hoped no one would notice, and they tried to cover it up by saying it was only a flesh wound. Very clever way of saving money.

To think that they struggled to get cameras yet today it is possible to make a movie with something that you carry around in your pocket... 🎥

Easy? It depends, you still have to remember your lines, be ready to at all times (imagine having to get up at 11pm to start shooting a scene which could take till 4am) & then you have a person (cameraman, sound engineer, actor/actress or even an extra) getting in the way or make-up crew (sometimes hours) putting on make-up and/or costume design, if it was so easy then it wouldn't cost so much to make a movie or a TV show

Enjoyed your observations of a brilliant film as for budget well things were finically tough then as UK income top tax rate was 90%". Thats why so many wealthy artist left the UK. No studio would fund the 'Pythons' so they turned to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Elton John who saw it as "a good tax write-off" The film was Shot with an Arriflex 35 BL a silent 35mm camera so they must have used a Nagra for Audio.
