Julian Clary at the end (the one with a nice entrance) is the absolute king of innuendo. Even his autobiography was called “A Young Man’s Passage”. He was saying stuff on TV 15 years ahead of other people and doesn’t get the credit he deserves.

It seemed a bit desperate and forced when he was on Taskmaster. I dunno if that's just the result of running out of ideas after so many years or maybe the humour's just aged.

I mean if you're gonna give credit to Julian Clary for inuendo's then you really need to check out the Carry on Films, and Up Pompei. Innuendo's have been the staple of British Comedy since the 60s.

@@chillself That was all camp harmless seaside / postcard cheeky humour. Clary wasn’t doing the Shut That Door camp that most people thought was an act. Many women thought Larry Grayson and John Inman were straight… no one thought Julian Clary was straight. He was a comedian, not an actor playing a comedic character.

You should react to Gino Gordon & Fred’s road trip. It’s a Gordon Ramsay production so you know it’s gonna be good. Gino & Gordon are both world class chefs & became friends over the years when Gino’s son Luciano began dating Gordon’s daughter Matilda. Fred Siriex is probably the worlds leading maitre D hotel, he’s ran dining rooms for all the greatest chefs - but all 3 are roughly the same age and same sense of humour. They tour the world & get into all kinds of craziness. There’s some great episodes where they get stoned in California & go wine tasting. You’ll absolutely love it!

Innuendo (quite apart from sounding... like an innuendo) was all-powerful in British comedy when I was a boy. And it's nice that the clip ended on an interview with one of its modern masters, Julian Clary. A man who once got essentially black-listed after a joke on TV about the Chancellor of the Exchequer. The double-act of Phil Schofield (a children's TV presenter in my youth) and male fantasy Holly Willoughby was potent for a while, until a certain controversy emerged.

One observation when watching Americans react to UK style double-entendre humour is that people on this side of the pond seem to relish that humour, and are much more relaxed with it. Sexual innuendo seems to be taken almost seriously, and in a kind of sleazy way by some American reactors, rather than just taking it in the spirit of silliness that infuses the collective sensibility in UK and Ireland.

Basically people take it in turns to stand on a line and see who can throw a Wellington boot (galoshes) the furthest. My favourite method is to stand with my back towards the throwing area, swing my welly between my legs a few times then launch it over my head as hard as I can. "Oh dear". ✌❤🇬🇧

I really hope you took the pupper out for a good walk and spent quality time together 🙂 I always enjoy your reactions, and I'm glad you're just a pretend boomer... Be kind and mindful of all thy subjects, my Liege. The voiceless ones can only sit and wonder why you talk and laugh with an inanimate object, and not with them. Their time is always too short, Sire. Perhaps you could do some vlogs where you go w-a-l-k-i-e-s? That might be fun? I hope the Queen and the royal baby are in fine fettle, and full of the joys of spring!

Hi Brian. The presenters here, Philip and Holly, have basically both been kicked off TV at this point (and they don’t talk to each other either). Something to do with him cheating on his wife with a young guy from the studio crew (not illegal, but much younger than him and he was accused of grooming him). Holly was sort of accused of knowing all about it, they both stepped down and aren’t really in the public eye now. I hope you don’t get any backlash on this video though, as like you said, you aren’t familiar with them or the show. The show still exists, it just has different presenters now. By the way it was still a great reaction video, I’m just hoping you don’t get any hate for it.

In fact, there is an argument to say the grooming started at 12, that's when they first met and kept in touch from there. It was Phil who helped get him into the business and acquired the runner positions he held, way before he reached 18.

Yet we do know the truth... Phil met the kid when he was 11yo. Kept in contact, and gave him work experience there when he was 15yo. And apparently started dating him when he was between 18 and 20yo... However we all know that last statement is clearly not true, as the boys parents have confirmed it. The boy is just protecting his idol. Also Phil's brother was jailed for 12 years for the same thing....
