I saw this van parked outside of the Cricket Lounge, in Ashland, Massachusetts, at an Aerosmith club show in the early 70's. There were maybe 20 to 30 people there! Just about the same month my wife saw it at a free Areosmith concert in Franklin Park, Boston. She and her best friend sat on the edge of the stage, with just a few other people wandering by that afternoon.

This van really puts on display that even the big bands had to pay their dues and sacrifice a lot all in the name of their art and talent. To quote another band, "It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll," is a very true statement.

Loved hearing Steven say “they were lucky .” That means SOOOOOOOO much to a guy like me who didn’t get to “live the dream “ but does still get do what we all love... I’ve spent nearly 40 years in the business. Always behind the board when I was younger. And now on the stage after I retired from pro touring. It’s been a great life I’ve worked with many great performers. (Never these guys 😔) And I don’t regret a single moment !!!! Thanks Steven ,sometimes we all need a reminder , that just because we didn’t get rich and famous it doesn’t mean we didn’t touch the hearts and souls of others. 😎🎸🎶✌️🤟

I know Pete “King Kong Beat” De Poe, Redbone’s original drummer, and he told me how there were guys that were better than him, but Lady Luck didn’t grace their presence. It’s that simple. But he also told me that you have to be ready (Practice!) whenever, if ever, she arrives, or you blow your only opportunity. (BYW: Pete’s book, “King Kong Pete” is available at Amazon.)

From 1993 to 2005 I lived in the small fishing town of Situate Massachusetts. All the Aerosmith guys lived within five miles of me. It blew me away; Here were rock and rock and roll royalty and they seemed the same as every other hard working blue collar townsfolk. We'd see Steven at the diner or Brad at the hardware store and they were never anything but good hearted regular guys. I think we all coveted the fact that WE had the bad boys of rock hangin' with us. No one bothered them, but they were never bothered to say hi, talk a bit. Want a picture? No problem. Just grounded and genuine great human beings. They didn't act like the rock stars they are. They just fit in.

I watched this episode, they kept saying they're not going to restore it, whilst restoring it, so the only original thing left was the art on the side. Absolute travesty what they did to that van! 100% Triggers Broom at the end

Any musician who’s ever road dogged can relate to this. And I really loved how they all climbed in like it was 2am after a gig and they sat down in their spots as if to go to the next show. Of course there would have been guitars, drums, amps, PA and lights stuffed in there too.

Say what you want about classic rock, but, it's stories like these, where you find out something about these icons, that really makes you feel like a part of their rich history. Hearing this story, it makes me respect these guys just a little more because you understand they aren't rock gods, they're normal people like everyone else.

Trick's on the devil. Turns out the soul is only worth a few bucks - but the fame, girls, cars, mansions, world travel, island vacations, drugs and cash? Can't put a price on that experience. They lived. Those waiting for their streets of gold in the afterlife won't even know they wasted their lives because they will be nothing but dust just like everyone else. Don't believe me... just listen to your own rock stars like Kenneth Copeland and Jesse Duplantis - they love those private jets and mansions here on earth don't they?

Richard Binder Aerosmith with their van back, that is the preservation of rock n' roll history. And kids need to pick up some guitars, drums, basses, and mikes and keep the flame of the music alive, since we are already losing too many of rock's greatest generation to the Angel of Death. There may be another Aerosmith out there needing their own van to get around, they just got to find it and travel, not take the easy way out with American Idol. Get out there, travel, play the shows, and meet the fans. Who knows where the next Aerosmith, AC/DC, or ZZ Top will come from. But there is only one way to find out: Get out and play!
