This reminded me of living in a 5th floor apartment with no lift in Spain and having to carry my suitcase up and down every time I went home 😆 once a very nice taxi driver offered to carry it up, which I think he regretted by the 3rd floor 😂 your apartment looks lovely, especially the balcony 😊

Love the apartment and the plants! When I moved into where I live, it was very noisy also and I thought I made a big mistake. But now I sleep like a baby and don't even hear the sirens at night. You will adjust.

I LOVE this video girl, but more than anything I am soooo happy to see you happy and thriving in your environment! Get some earplugs or fall asleep to music and your fan if you can to drown out the noise lol 😁 You may like the noise one day haha! That is what is called definitely making memories! I think the apartment is so cute! Nice nails and plants too by the way! So lovely to see you giggle at the little joys of owning some plants and that is so very healthy in life! Love ya girl and be safe! So sorry you had to carry all of those bags up by yourself, but it was definitely a good work out! Haha good old Europe with no elevators. I have so many memories of dragging my 20kg suitcase up and down various countries. Don't get me started on the train stations that don't even have escalators!

What a lovely video & great to see you settled into your lovely apartment. Can I add another tip for the plants - water the roots, not the leaves. You might want to change your watering can to one without the ‘rose’ at the end. If you are using tap water leave the water in the can for 8-10 h at least (ideally 12+) to let the chlorine escape. Finally don’t forget to feed your plants with a dilute feed once a month - seaweed liquid fertiliser works well, but use half the recommended strength.

I found BCN to abe a wonderful city, and I hope you get to enjoy it during your stay. Your Internet connection is liekey via cable and that is an assymetrical connection. (very simply that means download speeds are much faster than upload speeds.) Since most people are not uploading videos to youtube that isnt a problem for them, but for you it unfortuantely could be a problem. I suspect the best solution for you will be to find an Internet cafe that is using a fibre connectoin and has upload speeds of 100 mbps or faster. Or potentially your cellualar service is 5G, and has resonable upload speeds and not outrageously expensive for data. Than using the phone as a hotspot could work, or you could get a separate device. And as I suspect you know, it will take time to feel at home in a place that is culturally very different and speaks a language different than yours. So go with the flow. (Remember Catalanians eat VERY late, most restaurants don't even open to around 9 PM.

Wishing you the very best in Barcelona! My daughter went on vacation as a teen. Came back determined some day she would live there. Traveled back a couple of times. Then she made the move 12 yrs ago! Now she purchased an apt in a town on the outskirts in a gothic area. She doesn't think she'll ever depart from Spain. Loves being able to travel on a budget throughout Europe. Stay safe lovely young lady.

Noise machine app!!! I go to an air bnb every time I travel to see my kids abroad..this airbnb is is in the ideal spot between them..but the building is loud! All night long people go in and out if the halls. I use a noise machine app..I am so happy you are there and enjoying yourself..keep on vlogging

Once you have a fan, you'll be fine at night & eventually the noise will actually lull you to sleep. I lived briefly near a railway line & the sound of the trains became comforting. The apartment is lovely, plenty of room, hope you get to keep it to yourself but otherwise that any future flatmate turns out to be OK. Enjoy your stay & new life, big hugs x

hi! hope you are enjoying the city! a little balcony etiquette though, don't water your plants in the middle of the day because you could get people walking on the street really wet! we tend to do it after dinner around 10pm when there's not many people out and about (it's better for the plants anyway to avoid watering them in the scorching sun or you could scold them!) :)

Love the tiles in your room and balcony with the green doors, very authentic and cute. How do you feel sharing a house? Now that I'm older it doesn't appeal to me as much but it does help you feel less lonely, you meet new people and it's cheaper!

Cute place, Ash. Are you getting a flatmate? Barcelona is such a beautiful city. Love the tapas there. You might want to invest in some good earplugs for sleeping. I got some on Amazon that are great. Enjoy your adventures, but do watch out for the pickpockets.

It's a super cute apartment and totally worth all the effort, but there are times when you might wish to splurge on a taxi and a nice fat tip so the driver would help you with your luggage up all those stairs! I understand being short of money, I really do, but there are some times when you just have to stick your hands in your pocket. And did you actually rent this place for 3 months without having seen it?? If it's an Airbnb it's probably fine, but I'm not sure I would trust anyone else. By the way, when I said it was super cute I meant it. I love the tile floors and the sweet little balcony. It's touches like that that make a person remember every moment that they're in another country.

You use Ookla too, you had a good download speed, mine was 45.39 on checking with an upload of 11.68.

You may have thought it but didn't say it. "Where is that nice muscular man when he is needed". The downside of a city apartment in an old building, noise at night and during the day, no double glazing or A/C. Nice flat, you struck lucky sight unseen.

Nice apartment, but too many stairs! 😥The plants are a nice touch. Very pretty! Possibly time to downsize? It would be easier to travel. I’d feel too vulnerable with all of those bags.
