Grocery tip: Make out a grocery list before you go and write it in both English and Spanish. I do this here in Mexico and it really helps me shop quickly and I also learn new words in the process.

Bonpreu supermarkets sell bagels btw. I went to Nuria a few weeks ago, its about 2 hours North of Barcelona but a very cool place.

Cor,Ash,they say Birds of a Feather flock together and you two lovelies are certainly birds of a feather. You and your friend could be sisters,even twins. I rarely eat first thing. Just like you said,just when I was thinking it,I only get hungry about 10am so most days so as it's near lunchtime by then I combine breakfast and lunch and that's my one meal of the day. I have a snack at tea time. I was in Paris recently and I much more than the first time I went there really felt my lack of the language. I seemed to interact with a lot more people this time. I have a friend who is a linguist so I must ask her to teach me useful sentences like,"I would like that cake please' or," please show me how to do this". We Brits are so arrogant thinking we can travel anywhere without speaking any of the language.

I used to watch your content years ago on your other channel (great to see it back!!), just come across you again and have spent the last few days binge watching my way through all your content 😂 love your energy! It's so cool that I can share what its really like.

I can't eat first thing in the morning so I do black coffee till about 11am. Depending on what country I'm in, I will have a salad or a peanut butter/jelly sandwich. The around 5pm it's TACO TIME! Mi gusta tacos al pastor y burritos con carne de rez y queso. Y cerveza por supuesto! Saludos desde Mexico!

You might want to try ‘Google Lens’ if you’ve not seen that yet?. Point your phone camera at a sign or a label and it will auto translate the text…if it’s legible!. Can come in handy save you having to translate everything by hand.

Loved this Ash! I gotta join you on a live stream one of these days.. I keep missing them! As for breakfast YES it's a must for me. Usually have cereal (normally a variety of Mini Wheats or Cheerios), sometimes Oatmeal or Cream of Wheat. Along with that a banana, OJ, coffee and donut or some type of pastry. Otherwise I also like eggs (prefer scrambled), pancakes or French Toast especially if eating out. For sides I love bacon or sausage. hehe YIKES major wipe out @ 13:32!!! Hope the guy was ok!!

I think that's the coolest thing about my Spanish class is the large mix of ages and cultures. Some of us the only communication we can have is through Spanish. How cool is that! haha The bolts on the door were also a shock when moving in. haha -Ash

Catalán es un idioma no es español...🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️España tiene 3 idiomas cooficiales, gallego, euskera y catalán, aparte del español.

I was really hoping to leave a positive comment, I tend to like videos that show of a life in Barcelona. suprsised you were not robbed with you were filming near MACBA( it does appear they were eyeying you up). ;Be wary of your personal security, especially if your living in that area. There are other areas of the city close by which are a lot safer. Best way to use and practice your Spanish is with people who don't speak English, they don't actually need to be from Spain or be a native Spanish speaker. in addition remember don't be embarrassed when you use your Spanish as the person your speaking to will not have any English so there is no way you will be able to communicate other wise. despite all of this good luck, I hope you settle here, show the city and the life.

For the most part I would say this is a positive comment. I understand the stigma of the area although I have never felt endanger or even cased as you insinuated. I am cautious and am surrounded by tons of people in the area. To be robbed at the macba with that many people around is very unlikely. This lends to me feeling able to film and there are better cameras then my own always filing the skaters doing their tricks. :) I really do like that area. and You are right in saying I should be cautious. I for sure need more Spanish friends!! haha

@@WingingItWithAsh bakeries ,(pamderias) which are also cafeterias, could be nice places to go to, Generally the people (mainly young are kind and.if you keep.going they will remember you, and build things from.there its just one way, a way though instead of situations (pubs bars etc) whereas people.may want to hit on you.

@@WingingItWithAsh thanks BTW. and the neighbourhood is not that bad really just need extra wits about you. it has a a lot of character and I should remember I special memory from placa macba. it seemed like the only safe place one night when we had some riots in the city and this man came and sung and played.his guitar and then made a speech for the times the city was going through. everyone it seemed found of peace (October 2019)
