I laughed so hard when you said "don't do stupid things." As a female who has traveled solo many, many times, this is the BEST advice. I won't mention the name of the YTers, but they are NOT smart and got robbed in Italy and you could almost predict it would happen to them...because they are really ignorant (dumb) in general. Great video and it seems like you are having a great time in Spain!!

Big news on this q&a! Excited to see your revamp of wayaway. Also, as a Spanish speaker when I traveled to Barcelona I forgot that they speak Catalan there. I couldn’t understand a thing 🫣. It sounds more French to me with some Spanish mixed in.

So happy about you getting the Way Away back! Can’t wait to see what you will do with it. Way Away was the first travel channel that I found way back when you were in Liverpool and I mostly liked it because of you and your joyful outlook and personality.

Hello Ash, hope you're well! You just gave me an idea. In Germany, there is a TV show with an interesting concept. Four female farmers from different regions of the country invite each other to dinner. They take turns in showing the other ones around the farm and their specialities and then they get to experience a three course dinner cooked by the farmer family and give points to all afterwards. I just thought, traveling with a small group could kinda be that. Not giving points, or hosting the same people in turns, but a subscriber could invite a small group of people/subscribers including you, who is going to film it all, to their city, to show them the sights and go to dinner of course. Not actually hosting them, that could be impossible for a lot of people. But it is cool just being with a local to see, whats to see and find the best or typical places to eat in this area. Wouldn't that be nice and also make good content? Cheers! 😀

I really love, and admire your honesty. You touched on subjects that many would shy away from. With UK travel, I have great idea. I live 10 minutes from Gatwick Airport. Nearby is the Bluebell Railway, it is a heritage steam train that travels around the area. It's a great day trip for those landing at Gatwick, and gives easy access to London before & after. I'll happily take you along for the day

Great Q&A really enjoyed it questions were tough. Ashley B AKA the female RICK STEVES giving tours! sounds intriguing! Once u got that Spanish down Iberia Airlines would hire you in a nanosecond, but I see your point. Yes your right solo travel takes more work, a person can't be shy or a wall flower. Traveling with another does open the possibilities to more adventure for sure. You see more, hear more, do more among other things. loved hearing that u occasionally meet up with your followers, it makes us feel good knowing you care and it helps you to know your on the right path, the content/energy your putting out there is appreciated and valued. Your take on Therapist is dead on! A person must find the right one FOR THEM! Exited about your rebranding/jumpstarting of the Wayaway Channel will open even more doors for you.

I got a link/video this weekend on KZread to one of your recent videos (Winging It With Ash), and after I clicked on it I remembered that I was subscribed to your channel (old channel, but I didn't know that then). It took a while for me to figure out what had happened to you, and let me say you were why I watched the last channel for your vibrance and energy. I subscribed straight away to your new channel. I can also see that you have ten times the subscribers on the old channel than your new one. I bet that 99% of the old channel subscribers don't even know about the new channel, as I didn't until today. I am glad you own or have the rights to the old channel, but I also like your new channel (although it got me very teary once or twice; maybe more). Have you thought of running both? With the old one for reviews like you used to do, but with maybe new friends or mates going places. Maybe keeping the new one for updates on yourself (I care about you and I am sure other people do as well) and teaching us British how to speak the new languages you are learning on this new channel. As you know, we British are rubbish at new languages (because the world speaks English; miffs the Scots, Welsh and Irish off quite a bit as I am sure you know). I know you will be less than perfect as you learn it, but neither will we be and you will know better than us the terms and words; maybe some feedback from true speakers will help to develop your and our knowledge and skills. If you move country then we can all learn some new terms in another language. That will be two channels then and I am sure the money and reputation will not be missed :) I hope the best for you whatever you decide, and hopefully you will keep at least one of the channels going.

Hey Martin! Thank you so much for your comment. Welcome back!! It’s a funny thing you messaged about running both channels. Until recently this was not possible as an agreement in the way away had not been reached but I’m happy and excited to say that I am the sole owner of THE WAY AWAY WITH ASH!! This weekend I will post my first video back which is CRAZY but I only see good things to come. 😜 I’m glad you found me again and you have many videos to catch up on haha 😂 EXCITING times and I’m so glad to have you back!

Be aware of the 90 day stay limit in Shenghen area EU countries if a non EU citizen, the clock is automaticaly reset by spending time in a non Shenghen country, it doesn't have to be an EU country. Most of the newer Eastern European EU members are outside of it along with the Island countries.

Hi Ash, I think you should lead a tour of Spain! What's your liability insurance like? Just asking! 😁 Ash Spanish varies across Spain and the baleric and canarian Islands. Papa means potato in the canaries but pope in mainland Spain.

Hey, on the 6 month visa, are you getting an NIE card? Are you allowed to open a bank account? I ask because the school I'm looking at said I need to do the 8 month course to be able to get an NIE to be able to rent on my own and open a bank account. Sound accurate? I am bringing myy dog so I want to rent my own apartment, and for that you need an NIE and spanish bank account.

Lol 😂 I absolutely want to be married! I can still celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary with someone. That’s THE DREAM I also am absolutely not apposed to being in a relationship with a UK National but boy is it a tough journey due the visa situation although much easier to meet up now that I’m here in Europe.
