Does the DCS 9 with the wood box do the same thing?

I concur with your statement about the Kalamazzo. That's one hell of a price and to me it looks like you were doing them a favor. Thanks for trying. Well out of my price range but very interesting. If I don't have that warm and fuzzy feeling I always back out of any deal. I trust my gut.

Hard to argue

American Made dirt cheap??? Not when a customer reaches out with $15k and can’t get the AM Rep to even follow up. Too busy surfing I guess. I went with Kalamazoo.

I wish you would have used wood for visible smoke. I am really curious to see the path the smoke takes. I imagine your temp issues are from the heat and smoke going out the back. I don't think it travels to the side wall vents. I'm trying to decide between the two grills right now. So little on KZread about them makes me leary.

Yeah its hard to get info on them. The AMG has been good to us though we used it for about a year at the shop before selling it .

If you were smoking why no wood chunks? I cannot tell where the heat and smoke were going? My concern much of the heat and smoke is going out the back. Can you confirm?

Gutted you didn’t have the Kalamazoo mate but I get why but remember if you do get one you will be the first independent review of it I’ve ever seen and I’ve been looking for years and if you want that warm feeling when u buy it the keep it for yourself 🇬🇧 still a decent review though pal

I wouldn't worry about the Kalamazoo. American Made vs Heston is far more interesting.

Napoleon with the charcoal tray? That would be about 15 Napoleons to one Kalamazoo.

Hahah no doubt!

The grill just did not look like it had the same cooking capabilities as the Kalamazoo, regardless of price. The American made struggled with temp control and infrared burner is not required or needed with dual fuel. It's a nice grill, but if I am going to buy the best grill, no regrets with temp control is a must. Tortured for life.

Kalamazoo are completely over priced. Yes. It's a great grill. But Completely unreasonably priced.
