Interestingly enough Phly, there was a gunship variant of the B-17 developed during the war. It was designed to support standard B17's with up to 30 machine guns. The creation of the P51 and Thunderbolt ended the program rather quickly.

Artillery Challenge: Shoot indirect fire with a self-propelled howitzer. Maybe use a teammate with a lazer range finder and to act as a spotter. Like so he can see it please. I got this idea from another comment @K G

I am proud to say that Seafire you shot down at 8:34 was me! This is the second video I made it to, I was in the intro for the M60 AMBT as well :) While everyone is putting in requests, I would love to see a combo video of the OF40 and F84G for Italy at 7.7. The OF40 gets an LR and the F84G gets a running start after reloading/repairing making it possible to do a bunch of bomb runs. P.S. Loving the combo videos, keep it up :)

Its pain for me too...went to 5.7 cause I wanted to use the m18 / m36B2 , but I cant play the sherman like Phly can, I try and hull down, but I get wrecked, might be because I still dont have APCR unlocked, I think thats it. #1 priority

I remember first getting the F82, it was the same feeling as when i got the F5E for some reason, the Brrrt brings out a sort of child hood giddy that can’t be described

Aww missed out on an opportunity to talk about the M3 .50 cal gun over the M2 .50 that's in the gun pod. The M3 .50 was built for aircraft and has a fire rate by itself of 1000 to 1200 rounds per minute, just as fast as the MG42, but with a .50 cal. Crazy crazy machine gun.

Coincidently, I was recently watching his old vid on the F-82E as I want to see it before I get it.

That run with the Jumbo was outstanding! Like, that was a very smart and strategic position to hole down in. Well done, sir!

I will never get tired of seeing the jumbo being featured in a video. Its a work of art when you are in it

Amazing that the combos are back!

My strategy with big boy tanks like the one in the first clip is to take your time and place your shots right were the rotating gun connects to the rest of the vehicle. It doesn't do a whole lot of damage but it will spit some fragmentation into the crew and ammo supply if you're lucky. Just keep hitting it over and over generally the second shot will kill the drive/gunner

if i had a team that was as helpful as this in war thunder i might play more games back to back

omg finally someone feels what i mean when i say jumbo doesnt have enough pen at its br, like it works sometimes but then you get shots like that and it causes pain

I play the King Cobra all the time. It was my first premium and I still love it. Gotta know how to fight panthers and Tigers but if you can use APCR correctly they arent too difficult.

Hey phly I’ve just been playing random vehicles in random lineups and one vehicle I personally have had a fun time with and nobody plays is the MARS15, it’s an 8.0 interesting light French tank. I just think you should give it a shot :)

"I need to track him to where he can't get me." Holds fire for 10 seconds with a perfect shot while enemy is sideways and then tracks enemy as soon as gun is turned towards him.

Just received my shirt from the mail, you did an excellent job with it and I love the quality 👍

this is by far my favorite combo to play in this game.

The fact that the cobra king can even face the tiger 2 is proof how far gone and broken the tree is. Its a premium theyre letting get mauled. Not to mention i end up facing tiger 2's almost every game i play the jumbo

@@bro3217 the Jumbo has literally zero place fighting anything above 5.7, it can't touch panthers, Panzer IV H's can ignore it, and T-34-85's can facefuck it effortlessly. even against 4.3 or 4.7 tanks, the low velocity 75mm gun struggles to pen mediums and other heavies at that BR. the only reason it's "OP" is the frontal plate, which can be pretty easily defeated by derping a shot through the MG port.

You should start turning the engine off when dive-attacking a tank! It both makes the tanks not know you are coming but it also reduces speed!

You need to try the me 410 b6 take hvap for the twin 30mm and it shreds in ground rb, i got 8 kills in one life with it and im not even good at the game! the kv1c 756r is also a great tank to spawn it in with

Hey Phly, You should check out the Italian C13 T90 It was the vehicle that got me my phirst nuke, and I’d like to see it and the ABUL/74 (specifically the 90mm) on the channel! The combo means in any terrain you can get to a sneaky spot, and scout phor tons of SP! (Day 53) (But play the Hawk III first)

I fonly they had ever thought to take the 5 inch (76.2mm I believe) naval gun and put one in a plane with the VT shells, would have made a great bomber killer. Or light target killer. Closest is the PBJ-H with a 75mm cannon.

Just wanted to say Phly that British tank you were having trouble penning was a challenger the front armor is 102mm and really damn trolly. IK I've tried to pen the thing with tiger 1 shells and sometimes it bounces those...... not fun when that happens.

the B-17 was capped out due to weight restrictions and would've had to cut it's bomb load in half. there was old 13 that was refitted as a gunship recon aircraft that had a cannon mounted for the pilot to kill the Japanese tactic of head on avoiding all the gunners. and 17, .50 cals. they were a rag tag crew of crazies that were repeatedly disciplined for their actions and grounded on a regular basis and wouldn't have ever gotten a plane of their own if they hadn't stolen all the guns from the other planes and made their own out of the old 13, that no one wanted to fly. It had a history of coming back with very few crew before they got their hands on it.

Try out the swedish 2.0 premium aircraft in ground rb, I cannot remember its name, Its 20mm are insane now with base 38mm pen rounds AT 2.0!!! and comes with a scope for added fun factor. Use 7mm tracers to line up and unleash hell with the 20mms
