I'm amazed he would even try to go back to those horrible people at American Idol… He is an artist and they just treated him like shit and I don't blame him for walking out at all… I have no idea why he walked out but I would've walked out a lot sooner than he did

Viewers saw how the judges flipped 180 on him from one week to the next. All the social media complaints about bringing back Arthur made AI decide he needed to go. Personally, I believe Arthur realized they were playing him like a toy and how unauthentic they are (after claiming the opposite), so he put his foot down and said enough. I’m sure he has a contractual reason for not speaking out. Ppl always look back on famous artists that were screwed over early in their careers and feel bad for them, but Arthur is one that stood up for himself, and people just want to bash him for it. Can’t have it both ways ppl.

Not Quite True... Graham didn't "just happen" to be in the audience. Some producers approached him a few days earlier and gave him a heads up that Arthur might not participate, and to get ready to perform if needed. He was dressed so "casually" because no one told him that he was needed all day long the day of the finale. Then with 5 mins to air. they rushed him on stage - tried and failed to find A suitable outfit - pulled his wallet and phone out of his front pockets - put him on his mark and said GO. A much more interesting and accurate story than yours. By the way what was the problem with that mic for Sheryl Crow? IT MAY HAVE BEEN THE SAME ONE THAT GAVE GRACE A HARD TIME ON HER SOLO.

He had the experience from the first American Idol, then why did he agree to go back🤷

I wish he didn't leave. I enjoyed his music but he should have stood up against the bullies. He could have done it with his music!

He has the most amazing voice. I just watched AI because of him. I hope Sheryl Crow and Arthur Gunn perform again. It would be amazing to hear that. I hope she doesn't resent him for not performing. I don't get why he didn't win. I just don't. I hate to think it just might be he wasn't American enough, or white enough or black enough. I can't remember one AI winner that stands out well Kelly Clarkson stands out. She deserved it. AI should be about picking the best the creme de la creme, not about mediocre. There are plenty of mediocre singers out there. Some people just have it but yet it didn't seem to be enough to win it.

Big Gunn fan here but I still think it’s cheap that American idol is bringing past contestants back for 2nd chances. That Ragu girl has been come back at least twice now.

The whole switch up was a mistake and caused too much drama. They should have been allowed to take the stage and showcase their skills but not compete. It was unfair to this years contestants and did not add to anyone’s experience in any positive way, in fact it backfired as many predicted. Arthur hurt himself by not performing with Sheryl Crow. What was he thinking ? Is his issue more important than ghosting a seasoned professional that is willing to perform with him ? It’s show biz, the show must go on. Graham just raised his star power 1M%, many thanks to Arthur. Graham is fun, likable and can work a crowd. Much luck to Graham DeFranco 🌟

@@karmal6675 , that’s not gossip Kar . Clark was answering A question with a balanced fact based answer . Clark would Never smear anyone. Clark knows exactly what and how you Have to behave in the industry of live performances. His a kind Person and well as Arthur .

I really loved him but I do feel that he made a big mistake by not performing with her she is a very respected musician and I feel that he should have performed with her, He has a great future in music but he needs to understand that we need to stay humble when we start on anything in our lives I don't know what made him do what he did but I do feel that he made the wrong decision. I do hope that he continues singing because he is amazing God-bless him in his career

This wasn't the first time not to show up. Last year, he didn't showed up the interview appointment after finishing 2nd. He needs to grow up.

When Arthur Gunn was eliminated I was thinking there will be singer as American idol winner with classical voice but then surprised me.However, Arthur voice is far more better than Chayce Beckham but it is American peoples choice.
