That's an ostrich egg not a ball. The khoi people would drink the egg as a sauce of protein when out hunting. Fun fact, they poke a hole when doing so so that they can also use it as some sort of water bottle. They would burry them below the soil to keep the water cool from the harsh kalahari or Nami deserts

I was about to say the same thing. The inspiration is from the movies that says. "Gods must be crazy". They thought the gods had given them a bigger Ostrich egg. It was when they got home that they realized that it was a ball. As a result, they ended up playing a passing game with it. With time it got modified into rugby.

"Voetsek" is really magical. Everyone speaking different languages say it with proficiency and our animals also know what it mean 😂.

"It's not inside, it's on .... Top!" was my dad's all-time favourite 😂😂

5:23 They took out/replaced an Ostrich egg which I believe is what the indigineous (no mad culture) Khoisan culture of the region would carry around with them to store water and resplacced it with a love of rugby ("rugby ball") as a testment to their commitment to the love of the sport type thing.

The lunch bar is just nuts coated with caramel and covered with chocolate . Voetsek will always take the cup . Voetsek is just so special and deep . You see, even your dog listened. It’s so weird that this is swear word but we just use it loosely that it even lost that substance 🤣

The Nandos ad about people going back to where they came from was at a time when of anti immigrant xenophobic incidents in South Africa... So the ad highlights that in fact none of the people in South Africa are actually originally from South Africa...so we shouldn't be against anyone. Only Khoi San are the original people of South Africa
