"The motorman of car No. 116, F. L. Boehm, who was in Fanny Paddock Hospital with two broken legs. The jury learned that F. L. Boehm had only been in the employ of the Tacoma Railway and Power Company since June 8, 1900, but had three years experience as a motorman in Cincinnati, Ohio, without an accident." -Historylink.org
Although tragic & old, I find the story very interesting & educational. In memory of the 43 lives lost. RIP. 🕊️

I know right!? I believe some who jumped survived. The motorman and tacoma rail were charged/sued. But it doesn't seem like anyone got jail time.

That church is magnificent! Unfortunately, upcoming generations will never see the craftsmen who create these masterpieces.
Love Historic stories like this , Thanks for keeping the story and memory Alive for those folks
RIP to the 43 people. Thank you harmin for another great and tragic story.
What a catastrophe!! I wondered if the passengers who jumped, trying to save their lives, made it or not? I can definitely see where people would be extremely afraid, watching that trolley, flyby, and particularly if they were on it.! 44 people losing their life is no small sum🙏

I believe some who jumped survived but honestly not entirely sure. Considering that horses and carriages were the main mode of transportation then, it would have been incredibly shocking to see that flying down the hill
I was born at the General Hospital of Everett, Snohomish county. Raised in Texas. My grandfather, however, lived in Bremerton, Kitsap county until his death and never have I heard about this tragedy. Thank you. As unfortunate as it was it is history worth remembering. Be safe out there.🙂

Hi Harmin. What a tragedy. What those poor people were thinking must have been heartbreaking. I can't help thinking about the conductor and how can he get them to safety but couldn't. Thank you Harmin for sharing and safe travels
Thank you Harmin that was an interesting piece of history. Very sad 43 lives were lost & there is no memorial plaque for them. It is an historical event that touched many families,I bet some are still in the area. RIP everyone who passed that day on the 4th of July.
Hi Harmin, It’s wonderful that you brought this story into light so that the victims can be remembered. So tragic. They should have a memorial wall or something the way they do today at plane crash sites.
Yes i really enjoy your videos so thanks for sharing new and very old trauma people went thru RIP TO THE 43 VICTIMS.
I have studied a lot of history around Seattle and have never heard of this tragedy. Very interesting. Thanks!
Thanks for teaching us about this one, Harmin. Love the way you remember everyone and how you keep history in the present.

But how do you get to the outside of the car with that many people onboard?
@InfamousCrimeLocations

@curtisrobinson7962 I'm guessing the people who were closest to the outside were the only ones who were able to jump, unless certain people shoved others out of the way. 🤷♂️
I find historical tragedies so interesting, but creepy. I would have tried to jump off too!
Hope your doing well! Nice to see you back in action 😊
Glad to see you back Harmin. Such a tragic story. 🌹🌹🌹
Hi Harmon from West Virginia 👋 I like watching your videos 👍😎

Oh have you been missed! Glad to see your back in action 🎬 for 2024. Keep up all your hard work!BTW the church that is behind you in the beginning is a catholic church and school named Holy Rosary I went there when I was in 5th grade in 1978. Man alot changed. Thanks again for the videos 🎉😊❤😊

Hi Harmin, good to see you you handsome devil. This was a sad story, and the fact that their place of death is all covered up seems even more sad. When you mentioned 150 some occupants of the trolley, I knew that it was overloaded. Thanks for this Harmin. Stay safe friend.
Hi thanks for sharing this story. I found very interesting and sad. Must have been complete devastation. Look forward to your next video love from Holmfirth West Yorkshire UK 🇬🇧 💙 💚
Here! 🩷
Wow! What a story! Thanks for another great story even if it was a tragedy.😢
Here too.
Good to see you back on KZread😊 if you ever get out to Covington Georgia in Newton county, you need to do one on the tragedy of the yellow River drag strip, that is one of the tragedies that unless you were born and raised in that county are surrounded it people do not know about it. In fact it was one of the tragedies that led to the highly regulated license NHRA drag strip that we have nowadays.
Interesting yet sad story. Thanks for sharing Harmin. 👍
Hi Harmin, Great videos and research that you do. So interesting seeing the actually location of the accident. Keep up the great work !
Hello Harmon, thank you for the video
I was born in Tacoma. My grandmother was afraid of trolleys. Wonder if this was the reason.
Thanks Harmin I know Tacoma but boy does it sure look different nowadays what a tragic ending for that ride.

*I didn't receive notification of this video!* 😭 *Terrible tragedy.* 💔 *I love that you delved back in time for this!* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Do good to see you Harmin. Thank you for the videi! 🌺
Very sad indeed, what those poor people must have gone through must have been so terrifying indeed. R.I.P. to all the victims. Thanks for sharing this tragedy. 👍👍
Just heartbreaking! 💔😭Thks, Harmin
Thanks for your storytelling. I enjoy it. I'm glad you're back I appreciate these older stories
Nic3 to have you back! Great story, and so much more “real” having been taken down the actual route.
For anyone NOT familiar with the area, especially Delin St and/or Fawcett Ave (the more "side street" H walked down from the church. Delin & Fawcett meet, then continue on down Delin. You can Google it, or just pause the video, and zoom in to the fence. 😒 Tactown has "reinforced" where the two streets meet with a couple extra metal poles. You'll notice the top of the fenceing no longer has the metal pole/pipe across it. That's because the streets become so steep and dangerous, MANY vehicles have taken out the fencing, so often they can't replace it in time, or the got tired of paying to fix it. It's crazy
RIP to all the victims! Harmon, really enjoyed your video! So sad that 44 lost their lives.
Good to see you back 🇦🇺💔💔
Happy New Year's Harmin🙏 God bless You always; what a tragedy i feel sorry for those people RIP🙏
Thanks so much for the story. I love your videos
Another really interesting story, thanks H. As a UK viewer I have to say I can't believe how much litter there is along the side of streets there. Can't wait for todays new vid :D
Hello Harmin 🙋🏽. I a wonderful day ‼️👋🏾
This is so tragic , but so fascinating somehow. I can almost see it happening. Your recounting of the accident makes it so real. What a horrible scene it must have been for family and friends of the victims. Perhaps that is why the townspeople didn’t keep talking about it, it was too awful to keep remembering. Love your videos so much. Utube has been hiding them from me. I thought you weren’t posting anymore.❤❤
Thanks for another great video!.
I love your channel
Interesting. Tragic, of course. Thank you for sharing 👍🏻👏🏻
Nice to see you back..🎉❤
Thanks for sharing!🙏
Good see you back thanks for the awesome video
Another interesting video. Thanks.
Harmin, How sad is this story? But back then they didn’t have all the safety checks as we do now days. Take Care
I live in WA and I didn’t know this happened !
Troy Taylor has several books on similar topics and which could probably provide you with more stories to investigate. One thing about video, I tried to take a still photograph of a hill and it just doesn't look the same in photography.
Wow had no idea this happened thank you for sharing this with us
Awesome video..
Thanks!

Hello Harmin, recent subscriber to your channel and I am enjoying the content as you offer respectful commentary on these tragic stories. Has anyone has ever mentioned to you that you resemble Bobby Driscoll? While his story is not a true crime one, it’s a heartbreaking nonetheless that I recommend more people learn about.

I found an article online: The streetcar jumped the tracks, cleared the trestle’s foot-high guard rail and plunged 100 feet to the bottom of the ravine, landing upside down.
Be safe Harnin
Hi Harmon 👋🏼
Wow, sad and scary for those people 😢
