100% agreed, the sad part about this edit is that while it does make her and her team seem like scummy people trying to hide their mistakes, we can not be 100% certain that the final cut wasn't the original cut and that the short preview wasn't spliced together to be click bait/ view bait by making her dumpster fire look like even more of a dumpster fire. We can not be 100% certain wither it was her trying to cover her tracks or wither it was the TV station just trying to get more views by having a click/view baity ad.

This particular edit that BBBarrister pointed out is the MAJOR one but some of the others were that crazy💩she did at the beginning...looking down...slowly looking up...deep breath then answering. I think the main reason the "full interview" answer was different is simple: news media outlets overwhelmingly side with Amber on this matter. They're still stuck in the, dare I say, "boomer" mindset of "man is always the abusive one, woman always the abused." Amber may not have public support but these media outlets will constantly try to make her look good, even if it means resorting to dishonest tactics.

I’m so glad you covered this. The evening of the interview I reached out to a couple of people who have been covering the case to let them know. One didn’t respond, the other did and already knew about the edit. But neither did anything with it. I just thought that people would be as upset about this as I was. I didn’t really see anyone talk about it before you, other than a couple of comments on twitter. No one with any reach was talking about, I should say. That’s the reason I wanted to pass that information along, because I knew I could only spread it so far myself. People should be upset about this. Why can’t the media allow us to form our own opinions instead of manipulating us into sharing theirs? Why are they protecting her? If she were a man, we all know they wouldn’t be covering her lies.

As someone who used to be my brother's punching bag for many years well into my adulthood, I instantly recognised the language in her speech as negotiating language. Yes, Amber was truthful in her interview when she said that she was "negotiating" with Johnny. However, she was "negotiating" as the aggressor. Let me explain using my own experience of my brother. He often downplayed and still downplays his violence with almost the same exact words, "I only hit you like this, not like that. Come on, don't be such a baby. Besides YOU kicked my glasses / whatever (in response to my self-defensive actions against him)". I often held my tongue to avoid another punch or kick. The times when I was too angry and hurt, I would invariably reply him with versions of, "I kicked your glasses/whatever because YOU were kicking and punching me! I wish I hurt you even more than that so that you know what it's like to be punched and kicked by you." As the person who received the punches, I NEVER ever used phrases like "I only hit you, I did not punch you. Don't be a baby." Because I never was in the position of "negotiating" with my brother. My brother "negotiated" with me to placate and stop me escalating those incidents to figures of authority, like my parents, guardians, doctor, police, etc. Just thought to let you know an insight from the perspective of a recipient of violence, that only an abuser would "negotiate" the way Amber did in that voice recording. Hope this helps.

Very perceptive! I got stuck in the "when your life is at risk" portion of what she said. When your life is at risk, you are afraid of the person who you believe might kill you. Well, we all heard the audiotapes: Victims do not relentlessly belittle, mock, gaslight and talk over their abuser in a deliberate attempt to provoke a physical fight. It's the other way around. She was never afraid of JD. Not even a little bit. She even admitted to that (albeit unwittingly) in the cross examination with Camille, when she literally questioned WHY she would be afraid of angering him. If she had been a victim who felt that her life was at risk, she wouldn't have had to question why she would worry about angering her potential killer. What she consistently calls "her truth" is what she wants it to be at any given time, and so all over the place, full of contradictions and sheer nonsense that she's demanding the impossible when she wants people to believe her. The jury's job was to find THE truth based on the facts and evidence available. Of course she thinks that is deeply unfair. She's a narcissist on steroids, so "her truth" is the only "truth" that should matter to other people.

Remember in Morgan Tremaines testimony about TMZ, he said that they had a journalistic practice of inserting a split second of a white screen in places where edits took place, to inform the viewer. That in effect, means that TMZ has a higher journalistic integrity than NBC when it comes to edits.

I don't side with these people normally because I have seen for years how they play the narrative of the corporations. I think some of these edits, 1 show how the stories are manipulated by editing, as YT channels have stated. 2 to show how editing can make a person appear like the movie producer has said about the movie magic 3 I think they saw what all these YT content and social media comments read the interview and tweeked it to their benefit. Can you imagine how screwed up this interview would have been if social media hadn't pinpointed all of these flaws in the interview?

She was flustered with that question and cobbled together a response based on material she’d studied about DV victims but forgot or didn’t know how to properly paraphrase it to fit a first-person narrative. I’m not sure if that’s enough for perjury. It’s definitely enough for an injunction based on what I’ve read and heard from lawyers. I thought there were things she said in trial that were blatant lies and audio to disprove. Like when she admits to JD why she made abuse allegations against him, because Laura Wassar told her to or she and her friends would be kicked out of the penthouses (untrue). She’s admitting it was all, in fact, a hoax, and that demands letter the lawyer Spector wrote was extortion. To me this shows intent to fabricate abuse allegations unless she’s given her demands. Her demands were not met so off to the courthouse with a fake bruise, TMZ, a TRO, etc. It’s so frustrating to me that her lying about donations holds more weight.

I think her statement about repeating/believing her claims to her dying day alone is enough to warrant an injunction if Depp sees fit to request one. WRT the weird answer, I think it's Heard once again letting her grandiosity get in the way of a clear and concise answer. I think the very simple idea she's trying to express is that she didn't see things clearly at the time due to abuse. Easy. Instead she gives this longwinded rambling word-salad answer where she ends up confusing herself and accidentally putting herself in a different category from DV survivors. I agree that the jury and the people covering the trial seemed to place far more weight on comparatively tangential issues compared to claims and testimony that were pertinent to the DV. I think the reason so much was made of the donation lies is that there is no way to weasel around the fact that she did not pay of dime. With most of the other claims the truth of the matter isn't quite so absolute.

It was obvious when she last took the stand that she was repeating what she’d read about sufferers of PTSD when she said that ‘her friends had a set of unwritten rules so as not to startle her’ (which was not consistent with how tactile she appeared to be with her legal team). JD’s team objected and she stopped in full flow, as if a director had yelled ‘cut’. She waited for the judge’s response, which was to over rule the objection, then looked back at the jury and started back where she left off saying ‘unwritten rules’ and continuing with a list of things in what came across as lines from a script.

It is important to remember several things. 1. Savannah is a former DV lawyer. You can see by her expressions she doesn't buy what Amber is saying, and a lot of her questions were meant to show her contradictions. 2. She has no say over the final edits. NBC brass edits it, and once they finish thier edits, it is realeased. The interviewer can look it over, but they cannot change anything substantial. 3. NBC ran with the Johnny Depp story alongside Amber from day 1. Most likely they are trying to bury the story with this "final" interview (thus why the question of people having no sympathy for either side being totally unedited. Everything she says sounds like she read other people's accounts and Facebook articles on DV. Some of it has even been verbatim what he Twitter supporters have said about DV. She *doesn't* take the blame for starting physical fights in the recording. She blames him. He tries to leave. A victim taking the blame out of fear or placating doesn't say " I started the physical fight" then follow it with " because you try to leave". " Because you try to leave" is placing blame, not accepting blame.

Exactly!! It is so painstakingly obvious from the recordings that she is the aggressor. She berates JD over and over again for leaving when they have an argument. She chases him down and forces him to engage with her in the argument. She flies into a rage and becomes physical if JD tries to leave in an attempt to stop him leaving. She is in no way scared of him, but it is obvious she is scared of him leaving. She feels abandoned when JD leaves to go to sit in the bathroom or go to one of his other houses to difuse the situation. That is the monster she is talking about, the man who leaves, because to AH , being abandoned is the most terrifying thing. She would become violent when he tried to leave and she had to completely destroy him when he wanted a divorce. Honestly it is quite insulting to our intelligence what she tries to twist the narrative to put herself in the victim role. She is using all the tricks in the book but we can all see through it.

@@ccf8093 Yes, she had ample opportunity in that recording to bring up his supposed abuse. She never did. Not once. She didn't say " i hit you because you scared me" or "because you hurt me" or " because you hit me first". She said " i hit you because you try to leave and I don't even know when I do it". In a private conversation SHE recorded to try and show HIS abuse, and she only talks about hers.

It's Virginia I believe, and there's many woke male judges there who would like to socket to a younger? successful JD type or any man for that matter; not to mention another female one with the same outlook on men and white men, in particular. JD was lucky to have a smart, no fools allowed, and very careful adult and balanced one this time. But, most importantly 5 men and 2 women on the final jury selection. I'm not sure but I think that was the reason Elaine was crying at the end of the day this jury was chosen?🙂

She didn’t sound like she was claiming it in a placatory way? She said it was very aggressively!(tape) So NBC had edited this interview to make sure she sounded a bit better! How patronising!! Can you imagine them even inviting Depp on if he lost & was still accusing Heard? Then edited it to make it sound a little better??? It all feels very “ grubby” & underhand, one thing this case has done is make many realise that the media reporting often follows a narrative we’re totally unaware of?? Thanks for confirming this, how you explained it again showed why it just didn’t sound appropriate. ✊♥️( congrats on your subs well deserved😄)

Totally agree. In the recording she is being the dominant one, raised voice, doing most of the talking, intonation, phrasing all of it. Depp is very much the passive one. There is no way that can be said to be her admitting blame because she is trying to placate him.

AH's mind is so disturbed that she will do and say anything to back herself up, and she'll do it for as long as is necessary. She's creating a narrative, a type of living theatre if you will. The more she speaks, the deeper she'll ultimately get bogged down in it to the point that she'll be the most ridiculed person in existence. She's the instigator, the protagonist and her destructor. IMO she's a very dangerous person.

I don’t even think she’s 100% a “person”. She’s one of those “celebrities” that I would actually believe did sell her soul to the Devil for fame….but there’s always a price. If you look into her history, when she was 16 she & her best friend had a major car accident & her friend died. She later stated that her friend’s death is what motivated her to pursue her acting career. She ran away to CA…and somehow became somewhat famous. It’s questionable at best….but what a bizarre f’d up kind of motivation that is!….killing your friend (manslaughter) in a car accident! 🤔🤦🏻‍♀️

I think when she's lying she often has these brain glitches where the truth pops out. She was more interested in aligning herself with Savannah so not to appear lesser than her & for a split second she forgot she was playing the role of a victim of abuse .. The brain struggles to lie and if for any reason it gets distracted or has a lapse in concentration the truth pops out, like when she called her make-up a "bruise kit" then quickly corrected herself & said it was a "theatrical corrections kit, I just call it my bruise kit " ... sure you do 😏

@@Quetzietse Very true, she has so many tells. On the stand she was under pressure & just couldn't keep it together. There was even a time when she was describing when JD allegedly threw the phone at her & said it hit her in the face. As she said that she used her left hand & pointed to the the left side of her face , though the bruise she said resulted from that was on the right side of her face, it was the one TMZ had been notified to photograph outside if the court. Something we wouldn't forget or get mixed up is where on the body we had an injury. Her sister also done it when testifying, when going through the top of the stairs incident (which didn't match AHs version) and made a hand gesture , when she was asked again about the same thing by JDs lawyer she gestured with the other hand whilst describing the same thing..
