This Treaty was supposed to change somewhat and then the pandemic started that summer. Im not sure if the changes are being implemented but USPS serving china over local sellers is a big reason so much stuff is being produced in China as US sellers cannot compete. Just try shipping a package locally and then buy the same thing from a seller based in China, Its currently not possible to compete due to this insanity.
