it's called "Chamuang Leaf" it's close relative of Mangosteen,, but it has sour taste instead. i will give you Thai language if you probably need. ใบชะมวง

Very nice video of ayam percik. In Kelantan (which borders southern Thailand) normally the gravy is lighter and whitish in colour. Guess people in Southern Thailand like it spicier. Good video again Mark! :)

Mark Wiens Mark what's the best way to drive from south Thailand into Malaysia or vice versa? I've got to make a food stop there from Malaysia. Last spring I think there was a lot of flooding at the border and they stopped the trains.

Love the vid's and places Mark goes; keep rocking it! Food is prob the greatest pleasure in life for me. Have had some emotional moments/experiences with food in and out of my kitchen, a few with tears, but his reactions every single time are on a different level entirely. It does really help to be in special places with special people. The combinations of stimulation can make good food taste out of this world.

in malaysia we call it ayam percik... which is malay kind of food... and in southerns thai which is many malay live there :)

You can go to darul amman mosque in petchaburi. There are many food stalls there.. If you love arabic food, you can go to Nana, near Nana post office...lots of food vendors in arabic style there

and the best thing of all, the coconut milk BBQ chicken is halal, those ladies are Muslim
