Best way I’ve seen to put most of these types of videos. A few might make an ok end product, especially in areas of extreme low income or lack of supply, but that fact it can’t exchanged with a safe reliable replacement is more of a problem.

Those wheels were broken, with chunks missing, repaired (admittedly with great skill) by hand, welded by hand with unknown mixtures of metal, with no stress testing, run-out or accurate micro testing done post repair, and you're comparing the two??? Hell, you might as well fit them with hand carved re-cut tyres...

Great restoration and amazing skills. I’ll donate those to a museum and never put those on my car.

I’d be scared too, but metal is hard to break even if it’s a sheet, and even if it’s stressed. And these look like they belong on a small sedan. 4 Lug Wheels aren’t as common as 5 or 6 lug wheels.

Для пуштунов - сойдет. Там скоростя не те, чтоб разрушение колеса привело к катастрофе, ну просто машина остановится. Дорог то нету чтоб гонять.

А резину привезли из другой канторы,которые из проволоки вяжут корд,а затем резину наплавляют😎

Думаю с балансом там всё ровно, диск после токарки, обычно получется почти как завод

Вы видимо не в курсе что Пакистан почти всю нефть и газ импортируют. Это там не дешего, а зп копеешные. Средняя зп у них 12 тыс р. И это официально. А газ почти весь спг по БИРЖЕВЫМ ценам. Из РФ им покупать американцы запрещают. Да и как диск треснет? Если им опять попасть в открытый колодец только. Ну да, он будет слабее нового. Но на нем и не будут гонять по автобану на 150км в час. У них там дороги в основном проселочные

у них там таких скоростей нет,поэтому видимо и не боятся.ну и во вторых...они там по другому на вещи смотрят,не так,как мы...для нас,большинства,важно крутая машина,телефон,дом,бассейн дачи т.п...а у них по другому,приземлённей-чтоб сытыми быть,вода на голову не лилась,род продолжить,здоровыми быть им и детям...,а уж какие там диски-кривые косые паяные это на 10 плане... у нас люди без образования куда идут работать в городе?..правильно...продавцом на базар,в магазин,грузчиком...,а у них ремонтировать и восстанавливать на продажу то,что европейцы\из развитых стран выбросили на мусорку-проще купить новое и не страдать ремонтом...

Такое колесо с таким диском только камикадзе поставит себе на машину. Таких мастеров топить в речке нужно за такие дела. Дяди совсем не понимают что такое сплавы и их характеристики. Интересно много машин разбилось из-за их поделок. А самое смешное что в конце видео колесо не поставили на балансировку , а иначе я так думаю после напильников там 900 Грам на каждую сторону прилепить нужно что хоть немного было подобие баланса.

С Вашим мастерством проще было взять второй такой целый диск, сделать слепок(из песка как вы умеете) и поломанный диск расплавить и залить в форму эту. Потом так же на токарном доработать!

Почему не показали балансировку колеса ? Очень хочется это узреть.

Scary. Especially when you consider that you can buy used OEMs for a decent price. I've got a guy who sells anything wheel related, and I asked him about Chinese aluminium rims. He straight up told me that they break like icicles, and that he doesnt advise anyone buy them. And yet people still do. I bought used OEM VW/Audi alloys (16') with a few scratches on them for $250 and brand new chinese ones go for $350-$400 for the same size.

I wouldn't have slightly bent or slightly cracked alloy on my car let alone damaged repaired! Best one is the bold tyres on trucks and busses in the third world countries!

Repairing and restoring are pretty strong words for what was done here. Highly curious to know how long it held together and at what speeds is was driven. Proof that life is cheap in third world countries.

I'm an graduate engineer, I know something about metals. What these guys are doing would be fine for steel rims. But aluminium? No way! Once an aluminium part has been bent, the integrity of it's metallic crystalline structure has been compromised and weakened. Bending it back will only weaken it more. I also miss here any attempt to bake harden the rims after welding. Maybe these "repaired" rims might be alright for slow town traffic, but they're disasters waiting to happen anywhere else were higher speeds are involved.

I’m a welder/boilermaker with years of aluminium welding experience and I’m sorry that rim was for the scrap, little dings on the outer bead or small inner cracks that slow leak OK weld it up, maybe not even technically legal in my country. But this is like a surgeon digging up a body and bringing it back to life. Dead is dead and that there was dead!!

Если бы сделали тепловой отпуск и получше переход в зоне ремонта, с нормальным порошком на выходе, был бы диск вполне рабочий.

@@BigHit308 а ни чего что по технологии ковки диски из болванки штампуют прессом от сюда и прочность, а тут ни баланса ни надежности до первой ямы.

Датчик давления в палец встроен! Руки у них при любом раскладе золотые, какую бы дичь они не творили.

There's a place here in America... I have used many times called Wheelfixit...... I have used many times sometimes things look a bit unorthodox when repairing aluminum.....this Method is a must in order for their Way of life 😎

"A grinder and paint, makes me the welder I ain't"... The term "can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter" comes to mind...

Реальный скил ребят я понял даже не по их лицам, с которыми они это делают, а когда он проверил давление нажав пальцем на надутое колесо в конце, мы так в детстве на великах проверяли, правда лица попроще были🤔 ну а в целом все это как то бесполезно что ли🥶

Oh wow... heating the aluminum destroys any heat-treatment involved in the manufacture of the original metal and then building up the missing parts with a high-zinc alloy completely unbalances the wheel, to say nothing about this build-up being hugely weaker than the alloy from which the wheel is supposed to be made. So you end up with a massively weak, unbalanced rotating assembly on which your very life is balanced. No sir, not for me, no way!

Aluminum alloy wheels are just about impossible to fix correctly. While I admire their hand craftsmanship, aluminum, work hardens when it is heated and reformed making the wheel soft and unsafe especially for high speed use. These guys are doing what can be called a cosmetic restoration. I'll also call the safety of that operation into question. No goggles masks and one one set of work shoes to be seen. Hazardess working conditions

That. Compressor never stopped, maybe no pressure cut off switch! 💥 The integrity of these 'repaired' wheels must be massively compromised. Especially liked the dust mask used for auto faint fumes/thinners, and do these people never get splinters. Maybe this is the new JLR repair shop of the future 🤔

Жесть! Алюминий без аргона и AC TIG не наплавишь. Предполагаю, что они используют цинк в качестве припоя. Цинковые прутки выплавляют из старых карбюраторов. Цинк в 2.6 раза тяжелее алюминия. Балансировка затруднительна, но для рикши сойдёт и так.

😳 .... as much as I admire their skills and dedication.... 👍🏼 ....... but personally, I wouldn´t trust this rim on any car/vehicle going more than 15 mph ( walking / running speed ).... ..... no checks for cracks / structural damages ( punctual heating to melting point ), no balancing no load tests....... this is scary as hell..... but I know ( really enjoyed living/working for 4 years in africa ) this is a different world. There´s NO WAY to compare our quality/safety standards to them in ANY way !

Lets be honest here, im sure youd take that over a steely when you cant get the same rim anymore or be able to afford it if you were able to get one. For us thats common sense, But if youre in a village thats not even on a map, its a different story. And I bet youd be shocked at what they charge in a good way.

Вспомните наше советское время, дифицыт всего, особенно автозапчасти, когда процветало тоже самое. Например наварка резины или восстановление шаровых и распредвалов, да вы и сами все знаете, кто жил в то время.

Наварка резины на покрышки была рентабельной. Покрышка отхаживала 70% ресурса новой. И делали её на заводе. Сам на шинном работал, видел весь процесс.

I had forgot all about the old remoulds, I was in a friends three wheeled Reliant on the then new M1 motorway when we had to make an emergency stop, all the treads came completely off the three wheels. like something off of `Only Fools and Horses ` ;-)

In Canada it is illegal to fix rims. Ones they are damaged they are recycled for scrap. At least it was when I went through my welding apprenticeship years ago.

So the craftsmanship is really remarkable and the way they do it with such simple tools is really great, but I am a trained locksmith and machinist and I know that the structure of the aluminum changes through heating and welding so that it only changes by a fraction can withstand the original load and that is exactly why such repairs are forbidden in our country because a car with such a rim is definitely a death trap.
