Sure like the "Precision" these guys use on this SIDEWALK repair. They are "Masters " with alignment and hammering--such a smooth touch. Realy liked the "cord-less" wirewheel reconditioning "technique ". No sense in getting too fancy, just "got" to get-er-done. Bet these Guys don't know what a "numb-tendo" or "baby-doll Cellular phone " IS! A Great Vidio on "how to WORK".

Once a spring fail better to replace it... Or go for a professional to repair it... Spring repairs usually require heat treatments so as to relieve stresses and impacts by a metal hammer as shown in video are just causing plastic deformation that reduces the lifecycle and causes strain hardening...which eventually results into a crack formation and total failure.. That is the reason why heat treatment is necessary so that the stresses can be removed and the spring can perform even in the extreme conditions for which it was designed.

These people are poor. They do with what they have. Getting a few more miles out of springs is easier than buying new springs and going hungry.

I imagine the grease in the bushing simply helps ease them into the eye and makes sure the pin/bolt that goes through the centre doesn’t snag and deform the rubber when reinstalling.

TLDR: one of the many worst idea in the world being spread on social media! Long From: being able to bend spring steal like this means its clearly already failing! This is side of the road snake oil that make you feel that you got a good deal and all is great. there is zero pression work being down here. No thought on the other systems of the car that are being adversely effected that's is helping to lighten your pockets. No thought on the alignment that will now eat through more tiers, the bearings having loads that should not be there, your shocks working more and having as a shorter life, and for that mater your life and the occupants because now you are compromising your car, because with out a doubt if this is what they do with springs, i am sure they do worse to the rest of your car. And my qualifications on this matters? two of my ex employees taking the $500 for new suspensions parts, giving a guy on road $100 to bang on some metal and paint it , then pocketing $200 between them and the wondering a week later how to explain why they need an emergency tow out after the pack brake on a serious off road track in the middle of Africa had to hike 4 hours to get cell signal. At the end of the day, trust your gut, the guy on the side of the road with a hammer, or the guy in a shop with the expensive equipment and years of experience that can make these things. your life is worth more than your pocket being full of cash.
