Amazing stream side camping and fly fishing in Montana p33

In the late summer of 2022, I lived off the grid for 9 weeks exploring and fly fishing some of the wests most remote streams. I recorded every day and started sharing my 9-week truck bed camping road trip after I returned home in mid-October. In part 33, I'm on a super cool small stream in Montana.
I started my 9 week road trip on July 31, 2022, and spent roughly 3 weeks in WY, ID and MT. Check out all the videos from this trip in the playlist linked below:

That was a fishy looking stream. All those deep runs had trout written all over them. Another great video, Drew.

Enjoy watching your vids. All the various waters, the different takes, it's fun. But.. Sometimes the last 10 seconds, you sitting by the stream in the evening.. Oh man, as someone who grew up in that intermountain area, that really gets me. I gotta get back out there. 👍🙏

Drew, I know I don't watch often enough to know for certain unless I ask, but do you ever fish soft hackles? Don't you ever get the itch to fish a partridge and orange once in a while, or a hare's ear soft hackle or maybe a soft hackle pheasant tail, or maybe a march brown spider on a poly leader? Don't you ever want to make those soft graceful casts, easy mends, and let the line and leader swing in the current and let fish hook themselves instead of setting the hook all the time? It's so much fun!

Bro, I’ve got a well driller and septic guy on my 20 acres 35 minutes West of Helena on the Little Blackfoot river right now. Hope my house is dried in by end of September… Montana is cool… Grizzlies, Wolves and Mountain Lions though so be ready when they smell the bacon and eggs in the morning…

Undercut banks are one of my favorite things about fishing western streams. Just not as many of those on the stuff I fish here.

In Montana it depends on the species of Trout. Cutthroat are active all day, other trout are more active mornings and evenings and during hatches.
