Europe developed through the plundering of colonies around the world, the use of slavery and other people's minerals, if Europeans lived at their own expense and with their labor, they would not be fundamentally different

It's not surprising that Pakistan is wallowing in poverty. Most of these production processes would have been considered obsolete for mass production 100 years ago.
