It’s so, so good for us to see the respect and sportsmanship these world class racers have for one another. It makes the sport that much better to watch. I love it!!

What a fine package of elite men displaying true reverance for one another. Alejandro will be a legacy. A vigorous competitor, while always celebrating and encouraging the younger ones

Interesting focus for a film short and well done. We live in an age where the circumstances of previously undreamed of communication seems to be ripping us apart. This collection is just what we need to show us that competition can be respectful and positive.

Yes and no. Alaphillipe is disrespected by the peloton. He veers off course too much on uphill sprint finishes. He took out m herschi last yr for herschi s probable first monument win. Was disqualified. Herschi has never been the same rider since that Alaphillipe cheap shot. Twice Alaphillipe ran wva into the barriers on his rt. Fed up it is possible that wva ran Alaphillipe into a motorcycle. Alaphillipe crashes rolls around the ground like a soccer player screaming dramatically. Post races you do see mvp and Alaphillipe getting on well. Other than mvp I don’t see others admiring or liking Alaphillipe:Alaphillipe may be dirtiest rider in peloton Alaphillipe did have superb worlds win in Belgium the other day, showing great talent and smarts.

Do you have any evidence of your say or is it your personal assumption. It’s not the first time that I read this in commentary but never saw evidence of disrespect from pro cyclist. I have the impression that it is rather an internet bullshit rumor. For instance after WVA vs JA sprint at stage 4 of Tour of Britain few youtube cyclings pundits (who may spend more time on their computer than on a saddle) barked about JA pushing WVA on the barrier while actually there was a video on the Jumbo-Visma twitter account (I can’t put the link here otherwise youtube delete the message) with WVA seated next to JA in exhaustion showing mutual respect. I don’t remember hearing or reading professional riders showing disrespect toward Alaphilippe or seeing him being targeted as the black sheep of the peloton. He seems to be much appreciated by his DQC teammates and we’ve seen in last two world championship that other french who are riding against him all year long don’t hesitate to give it all for him with the French jersey.

@@PhilippeMarchand-xw1zp agreed, after some races, I have seen mvp looking alaphillipe in the eye and talking w him as tho each like the other. Agreed also alaphillipe teammates seem to get along w him. Disagree w everything else you say. As far as your personal attacks on me and people like me who regard alaphillipe veering offline in uphill sprints as dirty riding and your use of profanity, our conversation is over. Stop writing me please

I've never seen someone hate a rider so much... Certainly Alaphilippe has made mistakes but he is not the only one like Sagan, Groneowegen or Van Aert recently on the Tour de France 2022. On the contrary, he is one of the most beloved riders in the peloton😁

@@valeriebreton107 no. The fans like him, a lot. But the riders don’t. As far as wva that tour sprint you mention indicates to me he resorts to cheap tactics too. Sad to see. Alaphillipe has done too many bad cheap sprints. Same w Sagan who also slugs Monaco police officers, drunk. And now first time wva. I like to see none of such things. And you as hominem attack on me and not what I say as a hater (of Alaphillipe) just makes me more unpersuaded, and weary. So here I say good luck to you and goodbye.

I think Alaphillipe and Roglic have some things in common actually. They both lack technical skill, which means they crash all the time. And they are both kind of obnoxious personalities that require a lot of attention. At the same time, however, they both seem to have their heart in the right place. And both of them come off as rather personable guys, who are truly appreciated by teammates and fans alike. And they both do well in the press, giving a lot back to the sport. But hey, it's just super hardcore in cycling right now, with such all-time talents as Pogi, Wout and Mathieu on the scene simultaneously; it makes some of the best riders in the world pale in comparison. Truly a golden age, with all this talent at once.
