That was filmed from his apartment in downtown Calgary, Alberta, Canada. For some reason, I thought about him feeling homesick for the UK. Great reaction fellas!

On REN’s Patreon they had a behind the scenes and it showed several run throughs with Ren instructing Josh (cameraman) exactly how he wanted it filmed, he is such a perfectionist

What is mind blowing is hearing the original songs of Fred Again that Ren used in this mashup. The difference is pretty unbelievable.

I love how it seems to echo out over the city at the end.

Fred again is a decent dj. (Been playing the songs on here damn near on repeat) when on the jungle song (there's no love in the jungle) the original fred scratched the record and replayed that part (like most djs are known for) and to have ren repeat that vocally was complete perfection 😊. This one I wasn't a fan originally but once I heard the straight up dj style songs that were the original I gained even more respect for ren than before. To take an all the way techno song and to recognize thqt there is a acoustic version and to put it all together the way he did is mad impressive. Now it's growing on me

He is just so naturally good at anything he does, I swear. This was a mashup of songs done by another artist Fred Again, but Ren really made it his own. If you know Ren well enough you can tell he definitely started getting emotional during this recording. It always tears at my heart when I see his absolute pure emotion like that, yet he's still so composed and on point.

What I have come to realise is repeating that line “I’ve been lost but I’m trying” seems to hit deeper every time he says it. I just watched a video on Ren’s Patreon of how he produced this and it really was so subtle, but made the sound so breathtaking to me. Love your reaction as always 🫶

Two nit-picky things to perhaps consider: Watching the video flipped (having seen dozens of reactions to it as well as the original) was a little distracting for me You guys chose not to let the video run to the end. For me, one of the most powerful moments is the reverb on Ren's final words, then panning to rest on his Sick Boi neon sign logo. I was bummed that you cut the video off before then. Thanks, guys! Actually M8 of Mine react channel did just this.. first he did the react take, but being a DJ himself and a huge fan of Fred, he followed it up within a day or two with a compare/ contrast take, but it was especially cool because you knew, just as with Ren, that he was a true long-term fan, and you could see the joy build on his face with each song. 😊
