AMAZING Cane Storage Console WITH BURLAP! [ WOW $90 ]

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

How I made a cute cane storage console using burlap instead of real cane webbing. I've seen so many IKEA hack versions on youtube as well as it being a viral pinterest trend. Unfortunately we don't have IKEA and they don't ship big items where I live. I decided to challenge myself to recreate a similar look with supplies I can get in store. I think the biggest HACK element in this DIY is the Caning. It's sold online but, definitely on the pricey side so to stick to my budget I opted out for painted burlap instead! Love this hack! Even though this was a smaller build it can be turned into a huge cane media console instead of a small console like I did.

    Great job Lily! I'm so on the fence...like 3+ years ago my kids talked me into making a KZread video, so I used my love for DIY & hacks to create a video that was really fun, but I had set to private this whole time. Arrgh, I think!. Recently, I changed my channel name, though, because I have also fallen in love with woodworking to make beautiful and functional things, but seeing your channel/vids brings back that spark. This is great content and I'm glad KZread brought me here. I'll be back for builds once I get my table saw restored. Take care and thank you!

  • @diylilyardor3435

    @diylilyardor3435

    I wouldn't recommend it. You needed to stretch it really tight and glue takes to long to dry in order for it to work properly. Even if you used hot glue I think you'd get the best results with a stapler.

    I used acrylic paints. Honestly I wish I wrote down exactly what colors they were. I tried it so many times I lost track. I do remember using a light and darker tan and adding some green to tone down the reds. Hope this helps.
