Seeing all the heavy steel takes me back to laird's shipyard on the mersey as a boilermakers apprentice to my dad. This was the late 60s, The noise and smells of the place plus the fires and spark's going everywhere from different parts of the ship would be a vision of hell for a health and safety officer today. God it would be great if we had that industry back, it would give the youngsters of today some job security and the chance of a proper apprenticeship.
