Due to OverLoad Excavator Wheel Hub was Broke Into Pieces, How Amazingly Repaired By Expert Mechanic
Expert mechanic tackles the challenging task of repairing a broken excavator wheel hub. After an intense overload incident the wheel hub broke into pieces, our skilled mechanic uses a combination of precise lathe machining and expert welding techniques to bring it back to life. This video showcases the step-by-step process of how the damaged hub is meticulously restored, demonstrating both the power of engineering and the artistry of mechanical repair.

VERY GOOD recovery service, BUT current is passing through the lathe spindle bearing, which will damage the machine. THEY HAD TO GROUND THE PART.
Absolutely fascinating! Say what you will, this man is a craftsman, great skills! Well done!!!

Everyone crapping on the work and manner in which it's performed need to keep in mind that knuckle is probably from a truck built in the 60s. They have no choice to replace it , probably none around and can't afford a new one if they even find one.

YOU CANNOT STICK WELD CAST IRON TO HOT ROLLED PLATE. IT DOESNT WORK! NEVER HAS! NEVER WILL! You can only braze cast iron and even then you have to preheat the material. This will never work!

it's from an excavator, not truck. And we have quite similar in new machines, they don't change so much through years. so availability is not an issue a think, but the price is. I bet over $3k for this part.

Что за мода пошла все на резьбы и сварку. Резьба обычная не обеспечивает необходимый натяг деталей. Я понимаю если-бы резьба была конусная, тогда еще куда ни шло, а такой способ ремонта это полный провал. Только ради лайков.

These poor guys have not gone to any kind of post highschool technical Institute. They have just picked up a few tricks watching other older unskilled welders and mechanics. They may be doing their best, and what they do sometimes looks impressive. But in reality it's bodge and dodgework. Only feasible in a place where there are no laws or courts or government standards.

Aqui no Brasil esse serviço chama-se Torneiro Mecânico. Não conheço em nossa região alguém que faça um serviço desse tamanho com essa qualidade. Parabéns
Nice machine work but don't think it would stand up to much load
Fist you see all the voids in that weld and freak out. Then you think to yourself: It is a threaded joint, the weld is there just to keep it from rotating; its gonna hold. Then you notice the gear teeth and realize that the load path is rotational, not axial... What happens when you try to turn a nut loosely screwed on a bolt held in place by a chewing gum?

Super , what is the welding rod you use to weld mild steel and castiron ??????
Awesome way to repair that broken part , thank you .

Trik yang digunakkan sangat sempurna
not to nitpick, but I personally would have taken a little bit more time in welding that adapter. I saw too many voids and inclusions. Not good where water is a potential concern in the environment. Allows for easier egress of water into the weld seam thus oxidize/rust build up, thus failure/breakage yet again. If its worth doing, it's worth doing right - the first time.

I thought it wouldn't work...then he painted the rust and I knew it would work just fine. It's those little details that bring a job together.
But what about the root of the seam, boil it so that there are no pores?

When welding in the lathe, always have the earth clamped to the part, do not send the current through the bearing, this can seriously f**k the bearings!

Seems like the inner of the larger plate should have been welded as well, larger perimeter is now the weaker area. While threaded, still not a bonded joint...

Ever wonder why there are so many one armed machinists in Pakistan?
The arc soldering need really improvement to make better job and as already said, the V shape pathes would be welcomed and needed. I don't think it will be able to handle as much load than before it broke. Anyway, interesting to see but so many Not well done details.
here in indonesia that repair cost more higher than buy a new spare part, therefore here the lathe mechanics are not creative..
Looks good but I don't think it's going to hold up I'm like the rest of the comments that is a joke the way they're doing that if it makes it through the first two days it would be a miracle
Overloaded?? Its not loaded until its overloaded!
Inadequate. Non-compliant. Insufficient. Shoddy. And worse. The welding is not up to any standard. The little bit of shallow threading plus shallow welding, that's not sufficient. It's going to break again, and perhaps the first time it's loaded down.
I am sure glad they won't ever be using my lathe, since they think it's ok to weld through the bearings.
Мастер "Золотые руки!"
Prvi ki bi varil na moji struznici, bi letel skozi zaprta vrata.
不理解这样根本不坚固,为什么不放进去两边切斜角焊接
The thread is pointless!
You do realize that welding cast iron to a hot rolled material goes against every single rule? This video is an absolute clown show…The only thing he should be making there is a clown cart to ride around in. The axle housing already cracked from being overloaded. Does he think that one bead of stick welding is going to hold that together? This is hilarious😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
