I absolutely admire the way Koreans approach food and the culinary arts. This is one culture that has clearly figured out how to plan, prepare, and enjoy great dishes.
와.... 이건 정말 정성이.. 꼭 한 번 가봐야겠습니다. 여적 몰랐다니 안타까울 따름입니다.
Wow, one has to appreciate all the prep work. Food looks amazing.
I’m so in love with korean street food and the cooking process. You can tell from the hard work in the process that the food quality must be good. Can’t even believe they actually do the logging themselves.

Love the idea of finishing off the BBQ cook at the table so you get it cooked as you prefer. Had this in Spain with a steak served on a sizzling stone slab and you just cut off bits and could caramelise each mouthful all round. Really turned a plain old steak into an experience which I am sure you get if you are lucky enough to dine here. Way too health and safety conscious to do it anywhere here in the UK.

cooking is servants work and has been from the beginning.
@chrispatriot
Жыл бұрын
@@u235u235u235 I'm hoping you meant this in a kind of "Biblical sense" where you're saying that "servitude" whereas it meets the known universal good of serving purpose... If you meant this from some inflated hierarchy imagery then you are a dark and unwanted soul....
@u235u235u235
Жыл бұрын
@@chrispatriot throughout human history cooking has traditionally been under the domain of servants. You deny that? Granted, the main cook was often considered one of the highest level and most regarded among the servants -- yes, even servants have different levels of importance and not all equal. This was true through most of human history. The reason it's servants work is you do it where you are not seen, the product is consumed and there is no lasting permanence and it needs to be routinely done against and again. It's similar to cleaning and landscaping. Typical restaurant has poorly educated workers, immigrants and excons grinding out meals in the back unseen. The hours are horrible, you work late nights, and weekends, and you rarely even get thanks by the customers, you don't even see them and the pay isn't so good. The meal is eaten and all your hard work disappears and needs to be done 3 times a day. I realize what I'm saying is insulting but has traditionally been servants works and still is in a sense. I have several restaurants owners in my family. Most of the staff are people who took the job as a last resort, immigrants or excons. Actually immigrants were often very hard workers and the smart ones could be trained to make most of the dishes, and the best part they often didn't leave. They can't create the menu and don't have a good understanding of cooking principles that's really needed to make daily specials, but they could be taught to make the most popular dishes and do it well. Excons often work in kitchen because few employers want them and kitchen staff don't touch money are don't interreact with customers. Perhaps Michelin star chefs are not servants but even those guys in a way are just highly paid servants if they don't own the restaurant. You'll notice hotel executive chefs and most chefs don't actually want to grind out 8-10 hour days in the kitchen if they don't have to. They'd rather get out of the kitchen and do other stuff. But they do enjoy designing the menu items just not the standing and laboring into late nights. Don't ever marry a kitchen worker they're home late night, work weekends often and won't have time for the family. It's not a good life imo. Cheers and no hate.
Wow that looks amazing. Would definitely love to be able to try his cooking
So disciplined in the preparation of food and process from start to finish. Looks delicious :)
