I‘m using the COB 60x with a V-Mount style battery. This lasts for hours and you can mount the battery directly to the light.

Love the look of these and like you said its not always about the size but the quality that counts and what you do with them .... cant find them in the UK yet but when my 120 Ds fail I may look at these ... cracking review Lila nothing wrong with being 12 and 169 :)

Omg fantastic review Lila and your timing rocks. I’d been debating a light for my office to do videos in here. The lighting currently sucks. Your “I’m 12” comment had me laughing but you don’t look or act 12. This tech gear is fun to talk about. I’d been debating the Amaran 100x with a lightdome mini or se and then I saw Becki and Chris’s Mobile kit video with the Amaran P60C so then I debated that or the 60X. Now I’m thinking this might be the best option. Assuming this with the LD Mini would be enough for a very small studio setup. Finally got the I’m 12 joke 🤣🤣🤣

Very interesting lights & cool video!👍🏻Would be interesting to know if the fan is a loud or quiet one. A soundcheck would be nice. What are your experiences with the sound of the fan?

I still like my Aputure MC, small, versatile and from the same family.... And I initially purchased some Neewer PT-176S lights (also compatible with the Sony NP-F series batteries) 💡💡💡

Can this lights be used as spotlights as aputure light storm 60x? I ask this because the names are so similar. As it happens what a coincidence that I am looking for an aputure light and you suddenly have some for reviews :).

Thanks to this old video of yours I looked more into these lights and saw that that they released the Amaran 60xS and just ordered it yesterday :) Thanks for the review because everything you said here had to do with why I decided to actually buy it.

I think it will be fine! Otherwise amaran just released its own light dome that’s pretty small too :)

I see you have the 100d as well, what do you think of it over the 60d? Perhaps it fits the light dome a little better?

I really need to get an actual light (or lights) for my vids, I'm currently just using the modeling lights from my photography strobes (which works surprisingly well). These are neat, small is good.

Those lights look awesome at a decent price point. Tempted.

12x9.5 cm approximately :) about half the size of an aputure 120d mii

Great job! Question: do the 60x and the 60d have the same intensity when the 60x is set to 5600k? I'm leaning towards the 60x - a perfect combo with my Light Dome Mini!

if you wanna get technical 60x: 37,775 lux @ 1 meter 60d: 45,100l ux @ 1 meter I am not gerald undone hahaha but I personally don't really notice that much of a difference. Especially since the lights are pretty intense, I don't think you'll ever need anything above 100% of the 60x haha

@@lilafromyoutube I think you can get to the limits pretty quickly if you shoot them through windows or create a booklight. But for this kind of situations you would use a stronger light anyways

hii miss laila....i tried to install avid media composer cracked version in my asus tuf gaming fx 705 dt laptop my system os got crashed and getting repeated restart with blue screen error problem...i dont know why....plzzz help me out to leann avid with cracked software hope ill get reply plzz dont ignore

So I am presuming this comes with a Bowens mount since you fit the Aputure softbox on it?

I use a smart plug with my 100d and this totally works. I haven’t tried it with these lights but it should work the same

you didnt mention the 60d s, which amaran seems to also sell now. i was wondering what is the difference between the 60d and 60d s? my local store lists both online, with the 60d being $30nzd cheaper. thanks

For 60D S wasn’t out when I made this video, my guess is that it’s an updated version of the 60D?

If you have the large soft box and point the light down, will the connector hold it in place or will it sag over time?

Not for as far as I’ve noticed.

There is more difference beyond the range of color temperature. The 60d has more light intensity than 60x
